Your Opportunity at SECURE

As Scale Desk Administrator, you will provide administrative support to the Landfill Operators and Facility Manager while supporting the day-to-day operations of the facility. You will be a key point of contact for drivers hauling into the site, providing clear communication and excellent customer service while helping ensure efficient site operations.


This position is based out of our 13-Mile Landfill.

The Team

The 13-Mile Landfill is a newly reopened facility, offering an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing operation. This role will contribute to a strong safety culture, deliver exceptional customer service, and support efficient day-to-day operations.

Work Environment

This position follows a 7-days-on, 7-days-off schedule with 12-hour day shifts.

A Day in The Life
  • Operate the weigh scale system to accurately weigh trucks in and out of the landfill and communicate with drivers throughout the process.
  • Provide knowledgeable and courteous customer service to drivers, clients, and teammates.
  • Create, manage, and process scale tickets, including daily ticket entry and troubleshooting discrepancies or issues.
  • Support landfill administration activities, including approvals, daily volume tracking, volume balancing, and required documentation.
  • Support the Lead Administrator in meeting month-end deadlines and facility sign-off requirements.
  • Assist with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable administration.
  • Support safety tracking, reporting, and related administrative duties.
  • Assist Operations with template and document generation as required.
  • Manage filing, scanning, incoming/outgoing mail, and maintain phone and contact lists.
  • Maintain a professional office environment and ensure office and inventory supplies are adequately stocked.
  • Provide general administrative support to marketers and other team members as required.
  • Demonstrate ownership and support of the team’s vision and culture.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
  • Grade 12 diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to successfully complete pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
  • Administration or Accounting Certificate/Diploma would be considered an asset.
  • Administrative and/or accounting experience is considered an asset
  • Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively under pressure.
  • Strong team player with the ability to work collaboratively with others.
  • Reliable and dependable with a strong work ethic.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
