Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a department of 50 Scala developers.
- Oversee the hiring process, ensuring the selection of highly qualified candidates.
- Ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new hires.
- Provide continuous support, feedback, and career guidance to team members, addressing their individual development needs.
- Manage performance reviews, career ladders, and salary evaluations, recommending adjustments based on performance.
- Set individual goals for developers and team leads, tracking their progress.
- Plan and implement team composition changes to meet development needs.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a software engineering management role, preferably in backend development.
- Strong technical background in backend technologies and development practices.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills.
- Ability to handle conflict resolution and performance management effectively.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
