SCADA Network & Cybersecurity Engineer

Role purpose:
We are looking for a SCADA Network & Cybersecurity Engineer to design, configure and commission secure OT networks for SCADA/Substation Automation Systems used in electrical substations, renewable energy and BESS projects across Romania. The role combines industrial networking, SCADA communications and OT cybersecurity.
Join us to work on modern HV/MV substation, renewable energy and BESS projects in Romania, from design through FAT, commissioning and handover.
Key responsibilities:
•  Design SCADA/OT network architectures, IP plans, VLANs, routing, ACLs, QoS and security segregation.
•  Configure industrial switches, routers and firewalls, including RSTP, PRP and HSR redundant architectures.
•  Support IEC 61850 and IEC 60870-5-104 communications and troubleshoot MMS/GOOSE, multicast and OT network issues.
•  Implement NGFW, IDS/IPS, VPN, secure remote access, RBAC, logging, hardening and network monitoring measures.
•  Prepare engineering documentation and perform FAT, SAT, commissioning and troubleshooting.
Technical Knowledge Requirements:
•  Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity or a related field.
•  3+ years of relevant experience in industrial networking, OT cybersecurity, SCADA or energy automation.
•  Strong TCP/IP, Layer 2/Layer 3, VLAN, routing, multicast, QoS/DSCP and industrial redundancy knowledge.
•  Hands-on experience with industrial managed switches and firewalls, plus good understanding of IEC 61850, IEC 60870-5-104 and SCADA/SAS architectures.
•  Working knowledge of IEC 62443 / IEC 62351 and availability for project/site activities across Romania.
Nice to Have:
•  Experience with Siemens RUGGEDCOM/SCALANCE, Fortinet, Cisco Industrial Ethernet, Hirschmann/Belden, Palo Alto, Moxa, Westermo or similar platforms.
•  Experience with Siemens SICAM/SIPROTEC, ABB/Hitachi Energy MicroSCADA/Relion, GE or SEL systems; relevant networking/OT cybersecurity certifications are an advantage.
