Job Summary:
As an SBL Sr Specialist within Wealth Management Operations, you will be supporting the JP Morgan Wealth Management business. Our goal is to help our clients optimize their wealth, after taxes and across generations. We provide end-to-end support for all aspects of the client experience, working closely with lending advisory, operations, risk, and finance. The Securities Based Lending (SBL) team is designed to handle a high volume of lower risk credit transactions including Advised Lines, Term Loans, and Letters of Credit all fully secured by high quality marketable securities with standard loan documentation. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing and decisioning client applications for credit products secured by marketable securities, such as equities, mutual funds, and fixed income.
Job Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing, structuring, pricing, risk-grading and documenting lines of credit, term loans and standby letters of credit
  • Providing guidance to market partners with questions on client needs and how to accomplish that within the SBL credit mandate
  • Reviewing of other transactions that have the element of credit risk, including the annual review of existing products
  • preforming approval authority and typically final approval within credit authority on new deals, amendments and reviews
  • Maintaining the overall loan portfolio


Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Bachelor degree or related prior experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good organizational skills and ability to work with minimal supervision in a high production and fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work well in an integrated team alongside a range of personality types


Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Candidates should have 3-5 years of private banking/asset management and credit/lending experience
  • General understanding of financial markets and securities industry
