In this role you'll
- Assist the SBA Portfolio Manager with analyzing and investigating credit and financial information for existing customers.
- Support the tracking and monitoring of financial information for new, renewed, and existing loans.
- Monitor loan covenants and other loan terms to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Establish, review, update, and maintain loan files and portfolio monitoring systems.
- Assist with managing portfolio priorities, including reporting issues, maturities, delinquencies, loan performance, and risk ratings.
- Partner with Business Development Officers to collect outstanding financial information and documentation needed for loan requests.
- Provide technical and advisory support to Business Development Officers as needed.
- Help identify and address portfolio maintenance and customer service needs.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, credit policies, auditing procedures, security requirements, and applicable government regulations.
- Support department goals and contribute to the overall quality and performance of the SBA portfolio.
What we're looking for
- You hold a Bachelor's degree in a related field (Required).
- An equivalent combination of education and experience can be considered in lieu of a degree.
- You bring 4 or more years of lending, portfolio management, commercial lending, and/or commercial real estate experience (Required).

- You can spread and analyze financial statements, cash flows, and tax returns for businesses and individuals with moderate to complex organizational structures.

- You communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing.

- Build strong relationships with clients and business partners while providing exceptional service and support.
- Can identify client needs, recognize cross-sell opportunities, and contribute to retention and prospecting efforts.

- You understand federal and state laws and regulations related to commercial lending.
