Job Description

General Description: 

This is a mid-level E-commerce position requiring a minimum of bachelors degree in computer science or related field or has equivalent work experience. Must have at least 5 years experience in SAS Analytics suite product support. Must have strong administration support skills in SAS Analytics suite product support in an UNIX ( Solaris / linux) environment. and strong communication and documentation skills. Be able to lead and coordinate the design, development, implementation and support of specialized business and technical information technology solutions. This work is in a 7X24X365 data center. On-call and weekend work is expected.

Typical Duties: 

The position requires that the SAS SME has experience with installing, implementing and configuring the SAS Grid and SAS Visual Analytics tools and has a solid track record of accomplishments in systems design, deployment, troubleshooting, and tuning.

At least 5 years of application instrumentation systems design, deployment, and support experience is desirable.

Required Skills and/or Product Knowledge: 

  • The SAS SME will be responsible for or assist in the follow tasks:
  • Determine capacity constraints which could potentially arise with the addition of these new applications into the environment.
  • Outline security concerns which are introduced with these new products.
  • Implement and configure SAS software.
  • Support the integration of the tools within the network for proper functionality.
  • Support communication configuration between the tools and other required software for monitoring and testing.
  • Execute test cases and properly document the results.
  • Support application developers and continued tuning of the SAS infrastructure. 
  • Assemble or develop application training and administration materials.
  • Train operations personnel on the use and administration of the SAS tools.
  • The following skills and experience are preferred:
  • SAS Certified Platform for SAS 9 Certification
  • Prefer experience in an ITIL environment.
  • Understanding of Various Software Platforms including: Weblogic, Websphere, Siteminder, Webfocus, Oracle, DB2 Connect, Sun Identity Manager, and LDAP. 
  • Working knowledge of other Internet protocols (e.g., DNS, LDAP, Telnet, SMTP, SNMP)
  • Travel requirements: Travel requirements to client locations are estimated at __10-20%.

Skills Required
