About the Role
We are looking to hire an SAP Programming Team Lead to join our team. This role includes recruiting, interviewing, and building a SAS programming team, leading and managing the Statistical Programming Team to ensure alignment with project goals and timelines, and providing technical support and mentorship to foster junior programmers' professional growth. You will maintain a strong focus on client satisfaction through exceptional service delivery, design and develop SAS programs for data analysis and reporting, conduct statistical analyses, and generate detailed reports. Additionally, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy and integrity, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives by optimizing existing SAS code and workflows.
Responsibilities
- Recruit, interview, and build the SAS programming team
- Lead and manage the Statistical Programming Team, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines
- Provide technical support and mentorship to junior programmers to foster professional growth
- Maintain a strong focus on client satisfaction through exceptional delivery of services
- Design, develop, and maintain SAS programs to support data analysis and reporting
- Conduct high-quality statistical analyses and generate detailed reports
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy and integrity
- Ensure all processes and outputs comply with regulatory requirements and company standards
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives by reviewing and optimizing existing SAS code and workflows
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Proven experience in building and managing teams
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop junior team members
- Experience as a SAS programmer
- Experience with SAS DI Studio, SAS Base, SAS EG is a big advantage
- Extensive experience working with relational databases
- Proficiency in version control systems such as GitHub, SVN (Subversion), TFVC (Team Foundation Version Control), or TFSGit (Team Foundation Server)
- Familiarity with analytics and related tools is a plus
- Hands-on experience in application production and support
- Prior experience in the financial services industry will be an advantage
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Strong communication skills
