Why this role matters:

You will be responsible for the SAR Launch Mission deliverables to the launch service provider by ensuring that the SAR satellites part of their missions are ready to be launched safely and deployed correctly into orbit.

In addition to the SAR Launch Mission Management, you will also be to take care of mitigating and understanding the risks coming from the production team and the satellite production lines in different ICEYE facilities as well as being the owner of the launch technical requirements towards engineering.

You will also take part in the launch campaigns.

The position sits within the Launch management Team and serves as the bridge/interface between the SAR satellite delivery team as well as being one of the direct interfaces with ICEYE's launch service providers and launch agencies such as ExoLaunch and SpaceX, supporting the scalability, quality, and reliability of ICEYE’s launching operations.

Your day-to-day responsibilities
 
  • Launch Mission Management

    • Supports and builds the know-how launch mission planning and execution, including schedules, interfaces, documentation, and readiness reviews.

    • Coordinate and participate in the launch campaigns with launch service providers, integrators, satellite operations, and internal engineering teams.

    • Create redundancy in the team with the goal to be able to manage its own launch mission.

    Production Risks mitigation
    • Work with the production teams to understand the risks linked to the ICEYE scale up production rate and potential challenges and put in place solutions and mitigations to tackle any challenges which may affect the launch plan.

    • Assess risks coming from the satellite build in multiple ICEYE production facilities and scale up our launch risk management system and processes.

    Technical Launch Requirements
    • Own and maintain the technical launch requirements coming from launch agencies and which affect new satellite and subsystem designs.

    • Bring those requirements to engineering.

    • Stay up to date with new developments and new requirements as ICEYE expands its products.

     
    Success Criteria
    • Successful, on-time execution of launch missions with minimal risk and high customer satisfaction.

    • Build strong engineering confidence within ICEYE.

    • Understand the production line and work closely with technicians and engineers building and testing the satellites.

    • Dynamic mindset with strong team collaboration with communication and listening skills.


What we’re looking forMust haves:

  • Education: Master´s degree in a related field

  • Experience: 0-3 years of experience in the space, aeronautics or automotive industry.

  • Programmatic skills: Project management, satellite and general space knowledge, Microsoft office skills.

  • Behavioral skills: Perfect communication, customer relations, problem solving, listener, mindset of a good organiser.

  • Other: English fluent, hands-on technical work enthusiast and travel enthusiast.

Base salary range for this position is dependant on experience, and will be negotiated individually.
