What you’ll do:
In this critical role on AlixPartners’ Information Technology team, you will support the Finance technology team in providing key solutions and services around the optimization, support, and enhancement of our global SAP Financial Modules such as S/4Hana Cloud (S4HC), Concur Expense, Concur Invoices, SAP Analytics Cloud and integration of over a dozen customer Cloud applications built on the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). Peripheral finance applications include Time Capture (Intapp Time); UiPath Robotic Process Automation (RPA); custom built .Net applications such as the Engagement Budget Tool (EBT) and Master Data Management (MDM).
The Corporate Applications SAP Systems Manager - Finance is a full-time role located in Southfield, MI and reports to the Corporate Applications Business Relationship Manager – Finance. Paid relocation is not available.
Lead Financial Application support and automation of:

- Core S4HC modules, with primary focus on Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) applications such as General Ledger; Accounts Payable; Accounts Receivable; Billing; Fixed Assets; Professional Services/Projects modules; and banking integration using SAP’s Multi-bank connector.
- SAP Concur modules, including Concur Expense, Travel; and Invoice solutions that are the primary engines for capturing Supplier and Employee Costs, exclusive of Payroll.
- Develop solutions to leverage S4HC applications functionality for the above listed applications.
- Leverage automated RPA solutions with UiPath “Bot” tool.
- Provide 2nd/3rd level application support and execute the day-to-day maintenance activities, leveraging Help Desk and SAP tools.
- Plan and coordinate key activities with business around support; areas for improvement; and areas for expansion (projects).
- Manage and maintain a backlog of requested enhancements, fixes and system improvements using a Sprint board including developing and implementing User Stories
- Manage vendor and offshore teams involved in AMS operational support.
- Perform business process mapping and fit-gap analysis and solution design.
- Guide technical team in the development of reports, conversions, interfaces, and extensions for Financial Applications or if you have the right technical skills, maintain, and develop new technologies.
- Lead and perform functional, unit system integrations testing for sprint items, as well as cutover and production deployment activities.
- Lead and prepare training content and deliver end-user training as needed.
- Accountable for developing and maintaining functional and system documentation.
- Lead and support the planning, preparation and execution of upgrades and releases. Plan and take part in system upgrade testing.
- Support robust change management programs to increase adoption of the financial solutions.
- Support security aspects of financial applications that covers provisioning users, coordinating system certificates for authentication of Single Sign On, and application Integration.
- Support and coordinate Accounting and Finance key events such as monthly, quarterly, and annual close; Finance Budget and Forecast cycles; and special projects such as new legal entities or acquisitions.
- Review future release notes for financial applications and providing input to the Accounting, Finance and Travel Services leadership team of the impact and functionality of release.
- Train Accounting, Finance and Travel staff and employees on various supported technologies, as needed.
- Plan and participate in various projects and initiatives as identified, aiming to improve and/or expand the utilization of the SAP S4HC, Concur or other product suite inclusive of new Companies as AlixPartners continues to grow.
- Serve as knowledge expert on leading industry trends and system features to provide the business the best solutions for their needs.

What you’ll need
- Bachelor’s Degree (Management of Information Systems or similar preferred) or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
- Minimum five (5) years of Financials systems experience preferably with SAP Financial applications (S4HC, SAC and custom BTP applications); SAP Concur Expense, Invoice and Travel; Time Capture systems, and/or custom financial systems
- Expertise with configuration and setups for above system modules, with ability to demonstrate both functional and technical aptitude.
- Strong understanding of business processes within Accounting; Time and Expense Management; and Finance at all levels (Individual Contributors in Accounting and Finance; Managers; and field Consultants)
- Excellent systems/process orientation with demonstrated analytical thinking, organizational skills, and problem-solving skills.
- Project management certification and/or experience with managing financial projects.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English with the ability to explain processes and policies effectively.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail – data integrity.
- Must be able to set priorities and juggle several tasks within a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
- Ability to troubleshoot independently and escalate issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Working knowledge of software development and support methodologies.
- Experience working with 3rd party vendors and remote resources.
- Experience working in a global organization preferred.
- Core working hours are generally 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM, Monday - Friday; willingness to work outside of normal U.S. business hours, and as unique projects/needs arise.
- Ability to work full time in an office and remote environment; physically able to sit/stand at a computer and work in front of a computer screen for significant portions of the workday.
