Our client, supporting a top global healthcare company, seeks a Director, Source to Pay Enterprise Master Data Global Process Owner, which involves establishing, enforcing, and continuously improving the global master data governance framework for the end-to-end STP value chain. This role acts as the primary lead for the Esphora program, driving the harmonization of multiple legacy ERP systems into a single, global S/4HANA instance while defining data standards and policies with a specialized focus on Vendor and Procured Material Master Data.
This is a remote, contractual position, initially for 6 months, with the likelihood of extension. Candidate's applying for this role must be located in the UK or EU region.
The Role.
- Define and communicate a clear vision and strategy for enterprise master data governance within the STP value chain.
- Establish and maintain a robust End-to-End governance framework for STP master data, ensuring consistency across all business units and regions.
- Partner with the central Master Data Governance (MDG) Team to align STP data strategies with broader enterprise data architecture and program goals.
- Act as the business owner for master data management tools and technology strategy, driving digitalization and automation of governance processes.
- Oversee the entire data lifecycle, including the creation, maintenance, retirement, and archiving of data.
- Define and maintain global data quality standards, validation rules, and KPIs to monitor STP master data health (accuracy, completeness, and cycle time).
- Lead the STP Data Migration strategy as a critical-path activity for the transition from legacy ERPs to a global S/4HANA instance.
- Design a technology roadmap for MDM within STP in collaboration with Information Technology Services.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, financial controls, and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR and data security).
- Represent the STP function globally to balance business priorities and act as a change leader for the STP community.
- Create targeted training programs to build capability and drive user adoption of master data governance processes.
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience in Master Data Management with significant exposure to Procurement/STP processes.
- Deep expertise in Vendor Master Data and Procured Material Master Data.
- Proven expertise in data migration and system integration strategies, specifically consolidating legacy ERPs into a single S/4HANA instance.
- Strong understanding of MDM principles, data governance frameworks, and data quality management.
- Knowledge of data compliance and regulatory requirements related to STP data, such as GDPR.
- Advanced proficiency in English.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills with the ability to drive consensus in a global, matrixed organization.
- Willingness to travel for business purposes occasionally (up to 20%).
Preferred Qualifications.
- Knowledge of Accounts Payable processes and their relationship to master data (invoice processing and payment execution).
- Functional knowledge of SAP Procurement systems.
- SAP S/4HANA procurement module awareness.
- Ability to utilize data analytics and reporting tools to measure and improve process performance
