Overview:

As the global owner and accountable leader for SAP solutions within your area, you will manage a dedicated team along with a group of contractor developers. You will collaborate closely with Global Service Managers—our business counterparts—to fully understand requirements and drive continuous improvements in existing solutions. This leadership role encompasses full accountability for critical financial applications: MSA, SRAP, Intercompany, and DAF, which serve as core Record-to-Report applications consisting of multiple functions, tables, and components.

You will ensure successful delivery of all work, occasionally contributing hands-on—especially on complex or high-impact deliverables. A key responsibility includes leading a major transformation initiative involving both technical redesign and the definition of the future solution landscape for P&G, working across multiple teams and stakeholders.

This role combines strategic leadership (60%) with hands-on technical involvement (40%) and requires stewardship in maintaining code quality, secure and sound architecture, risk management, and compliance adherence. Recognized as the top-level expert for these solutions, you will be the escalation point for the most critical issues in this global role tightly connected to Finance.

Role Summary

As the Global Senior Software Manager for Record to Report, you will define, design, and drive execution of key IT strategies and solutions in a dynamic, highly competitive environment. Your leadership will ensure our SAP solutions are sustainable, operable, and compliant with both industry and company standards.

Partnering with business stakeholders and development teams, you will oversee the full lifecycle of software solutions—from design and implementation to ongoing support. Key Responsibilities

  • Own and govern SAP solutions operationally to maximize value delivery

  • Ensure adherence to controls, policies, and all compliance requirements

  • Serve as IT Lead on global projects, driving strategic and technical initiatives

  • Lead proof-of-concept activities to validate business cases and solutions viability

  • Collaborate globally with business partners and strategic vendors to design, build, and qualify new capabilities

  • Translate functional business requirements accurately into technical specifications

  • Provide expert consultancy and partner with 3rd-level support teams for swift resolution of production issues

  • Integrate and optimize SAP ecosystem technical and functional components for robust architecture

  • Oversee daily operational tasks including incident resolution, continuous improvements, project support, and compliance activities

  • Drive operational excellence and ensure consistent delivery quality across the software management team

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of software professionals to achieve organizational objectives

Job Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Expertise:

  • Deep knowledge of SAP ABAP, S/4HANA, Fiori, and SAP FI (Financials) module

  • Strong functional understanding across SAP R/3, HANA, and Fiori environments

  • Experience designing and structuring SAP financial solutions with a strategic mindset

Methodologies & Tools:

  • Experience with Agile, SCRUM, and DevOps methodologies

  • Solid project management capabilities and solution design expertise

Leadership & Team Management:

  • Proven experience managing and coaching a team of at least four people

  • Ability to foster career development and growth within the team

Additional Functional Knowledge:

  • Familiarity with CDS Views, DSM/BRF+, ABAP, and AIF is a plus

  • Experience or exposure to MSA, SRAP, Intercompany, and General Accounting processes desirable, especially within Record-to-Report frameworks
