Role Overview
Kaeppel Consulting is seeking an experienced SAP Data Architect to provide strategic guidance and technical expertise during the RFP phase. This is a paid consulting engagement with the potential to transition into a long-term project role upon contract award.
Key Responsibilities
Design and define the overall SAP data architecture to support enterprise-level requirements.
Lead data migration strategy, planning, and execution from legacy systems to SAP platforms.
Establish and enforce data governance frameworks, standards, and best practices to ensure data integrity, security, and compliance.
Partner with functional teams, business stakeholders, and technical architects to align data solutions with enterprise objectives.
Optimize data models, integrations, and system performance within SAP environments.
Contribute to technical documentation and architectural deliverables for the RFP response.
Provide ongoing expertise in data management and architecture if the contract is awarded.
Required Qualifications
Proven experience as a SAP Data Architect across complex enterprise environments.
Strong track record in enterprise data modeling, migration strategy, and governance frameworks.
Expertise in SAP database architecture, including performance optimization and integration with external systems.
Knowledge of master data management, metadata frameworks, and data quality initiatives.
Excellent skills in communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement.
Preferred Qualifications
SAP certifications in Data Architecture, HANA, or related domains.
Experience with federal, higher-education, or public sector implementations.
Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as GDPR, SOX, or federal data security standards.
