The Role

Job Description

Overview:

We are looking for a highly skilled Project Manager with extensive experience in implementing and integrating Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) or Custom Built Engineering/Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Systems and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) with Cloud or on-Premise ERP Systems, preferably SAP Business One (B1). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Product Engineering, Product Lifecycle Management, Production Planning, and Manufacturing Execution, specifically in a discrete, engineer-to-order, and make-to-order manufacturing environment. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred but not required.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Management:
    • Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets for the implementation and integration of PLM and MES with ERP systems.
    • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
  2. System Implementation and Integration:
    • Lead the implementation of COTS or custom-built PLM and MES solutions.
    • Oversee the integration of these systems with Cloud or on-premise ERP systems, particularly SAP Business One (B1).
  3. Product Engineering and Lifecycle Management:
    • Ensure effective integration of product engineering and lifecycle management processes within the new systems.
    • Optimize product development and lifecycle management workflows.
  4. Production Planning and Execution:
    • Leverage experience in production planning and manufacturing execution to enhance operational efficiency.
    • Implement best practices in production scheduling, inventory management, and resource allocation.
  5. Stakeholder Communication:
    • Act as the primary liaison between project teams, stakeholders, and vendors.
    • Provide regular status updates and project reports to senior management.
  6. Team Leadership:
    • Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams, ensuring alignment and collaboration.
    • Facilitate effective communication and problem-solving among team members.
  7. Risk Management:
    • Identify and assess project risks, developing and implementing mitigation strategies.
    • Monitor project progress and address issues promptly to keep the project on track.
  8. Quality Assurance:
    • Ensure that all project deliverables meet business requirements and quality standards.
    • Oversee testing and validation of integrated systems, ensuring they function correctly.

Qualifications:

  • Experience:
    • Proven experience in managing the implementation and integration of PLM and MES with ERP systems, preferably SAP Business One (B1).
    • Strong background in discrete manufacturing, engineer-to-order, and make-to-order environments.
    • Experience in product engineering, lifecycle management, production planning, and manufacturing execution.
  • Skills:
    • Excellent project management skills, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams.
  • Languages:
    • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred but not required.
  • Certifications:
    • PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent certification is preferred.
