Job Description

About the Opportunity
Solaris Energy is seeking an experienced SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) / Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) Specialist to join our team in a client-facing, business-as-usual (BAU) support capacity. This role is responsible for the day-to-day operation, stabilization, and continuous improvement of our SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition Plant Maintenance environment, supporting both Reactive Maintenance (scope item 4HH) and Proactive/Preventive Maintenance (scope item 4HI) processes across business units.
The ideal candidate is comfortable operating as the functional owner for PM/EAM in a live production environment, managing incidents, enhancement requests, configuration changes, master data governance, and end-user support while working within SAP Public Cloud's fit-to-standard constraints.

Essential Functions
Daily Operations & Production Support

  • Serve as the primary functional point of contact for SAP PM/EAM issues raised by business users, triaging and resolving incidents within agreed SLAs
  • Monitor and support core PM processes: notification creation, work order management, scheduling, confirmations, completion, and technical closure
  • Troubleshoot master data issues across functional locations, equipment master, bills of material, task lists, and maintenance plans
  • Manage day-to-day configuration adjustments within Public Cloud SSCUI (Self-Service Configuration UI) boundaries

Maintenance Planning & Execution

  • Support preventive maintenance planning, maintenance plan scheduling, and strategy/package maintenance
  • Partner with maintenance planners and technicians to ensure accurate work order costing, capacity planning, and resource assignment
  • Support permit-to-work, safety, and compliance-related maintenance documentation where applicable

Integration & Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Coordinate with FI/CO on maintenance cost settlement, cost center/WBS postings, and budget monitoring
  • Coordinate with MM/procurement on spare parts availability, reservations, and purchase requisitions tied to maintenance orders
  • Support integration touchpoints with SuccessFactors, Fiori apps, and any connected mobile/field service tools

Continuous Improvement & Enhancement

  • Log, prioritize, and manage a backlog of enhancement requests; translate business asks into fit-to-standard SAP solutions
  • Identify opportunities to leverage additional Fiori apps, reporting (Access Query, embedded analytics), and process automation
  • Support phased roadmap initiatives (e.g., predictive maintenance via SAP APM, mobile enablement, IoT integration) as they mature from Phase 2/3 planning into production

Governance, Documentation & Training

  • Maintain up-to-date process documentation, configuration records, and SSCUI change logs
  • Support authorization/security reviews for PM-related roles and segregation-of-duties (SoD) considerations
  • Deliver end-user training, job aids, and refresher sessions as new features or process changes are rolled out
  • Participate in change advisory board (CAB) reviews for any proposed configuration or process changes

  • Demonstrated experience supporting a live production SAP environment (incident management, break-fix, enhancement backlog)
  • Solid grasp of PM integration points with FI/CO (cost settlement) and MM (spare parts, procurement)
  • Familiarity with relevant Fiori apps for PM (e.g., work order management, maintenance scheduling, notification handling)
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work directly with plant/operations stakeholders
