Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced SAP MDG Specialist to design, configure, and govern our enterprise master data structures. The ideal candidate will establish robust data stewardship architectures, consolidate enterprise domain rules across critical business objects, and orchestrate automated change request workflows to ensure data integrity across the global ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure core SAP MDG domain modules, including MDG-M (Material), MDG-S (Supplier), MDG-C (Customer), and MDG-F (Financials).
- Design and manage change request workflows, utilizing Rule-Based Workflow (RBW) engines and BRFplus (Business Rule Framework plus) to enforce multi-stage data approvals.
- Architect data validation and derivation rules, utilizing BRFplus and custom ABAP code snippets to automate field population and prevent data formatting errors.
- Implement Data Replication Frameworks (DRF), establishing point-to-point and middleware connections to distribute validated master data to SAP and non-SAP target systems.
- Configure data profiling and consolidation rules, defining search views, duplicate check thresholds, and data matching/merging policies.
- Build custom master data models, extending out-of-the-box data structures to incorporate custom attributes, custom entities, and bespoke business hierarchies.
- Collaborate with enterprise data governance teams, monitoring data latency, data quality dashboards, and workflow bottlenecks to improve overall data cleanliness.
Requirements
- 5 to 8 years of core enterprise data management or SAP functional consulting experience, with 4+ dedicated years actively designing and deploying solutions inside the SAP MDG module.
- Strong technical mastery of BRFplus configurations, Rule-Based Workflows, Floor Plan Manager (FPM) UI adjustments, and Data Replication Frameworks.
- Deep structural understanding of core SAP master data tables (e.g., MARA, KNA1, LFA1, SKA1), data modeling paradigms, and governance lifecycle management.
- Mandatory certification: SAP Certified Application Associate - Master Data Governance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior configuration background working with SAP MDG on S/4HANA environments.
- Experience integrating SAP MDG with third-party external data enrichment engines or Address Validation Web Services (e.g., SAP DQM).
Skills Required
- 5 to 8 years of enterprise data management or SAP functional consulting experience
