The Role:

Our site in Aurora, IL is seeking an SAP Master Data Specialist to join our team. Our Data Management and Science team specializes in SAP master data management and the development of analytical tools to support our operations in cross-functional teams. The SAP Master Data Specialist is responsible for ensuring SAP master data creation and change processes are implemented with accuracy and speed. This individual will perform master data inputs for their geographical regions with backup support for other geographical region locations.

What You'll Do:

Data Management:

• Create, update, and maintain master data timely in SAP

• Collaborate with global personal from customer service, quality, operations, engineering, procurement, accounting, and finance teams to gather requirements and ensure data alignment

• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert for the end-to-end Entegris Master Data processes

• Understand and identify data dependencies in support of master data object creation and change processes

Data Quality:

• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity by conducting data validation, regular audits, and implementing data quality checks

• Develop and publish key performance metrics for the health of the SAP master data for the assigned locations

• Provide Master Data Management to ensure all assigned SAP Plants are following the global process as defined by the data steward team and achieving data quality and cycle time metrics

Process Improvement:

• Lead or respond to improvement initiatives to drive improvement in master data accuracy

• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance data collection and data management efficiency

Training and Support:

• Develop key documentation, user guides, and other necessary training materials while following the globally defined processes

• Deliver training content to support on-going master data learning requirements

• Maintain all master data change management creation and change workflow owners and task configurations for assigned locations/profit centers

• Supports troubleshooting of process and technical issues to support timely fixes by working with business owners, IT, and data stewards

• Support the technology, tools, resources, and processes required to create / maintain consistent and accurate master data throughout the global organization

What We Seek:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or related field preferred

• 2 years' experience with Bachelor's degree or 3-5 years' experience with ERP systems (SAP), master data management, or related role

• Experience in a manufacturing industry with direct data management experience with material numbers, bill of materials, and routings in an ERP system

• Proficiency in the use of SAP ECC, BMAX, and related tools

• Strong Knowledge and experience of data governance and data quality principles

• Strong analytical skills to understand how pieces of data relate to each other and thus to detect and thereby prevent inappropriate transactions and data entry

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, and attention to detail

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment

• Expertise with MS Office applications

Outstanding Candidates Will Have:

• SAP certification in Master Data Governance or a related area is a plus

• Prior experience in data analysis and data profiling (in SQL) projects is a plus
