The Solution Architect is ccountable for analyzing demands, architecture and designing comprehensive solutions that meet business requirements and defines solution architecture in line within SHS architecture principles
▪Orchestrates IT solutions from several IT services and ensures efficient and seamless solutions are provided across local operations and/or external providers
▪Is responsible for the secure design of systems and solutions

The SAP EWM Architect is responsible for designing, governing, and delivering enterprise‑grade warehouse management solutions using SAP EWM (Embedded or Decentralized). The role ensures alignment between business processes, system architecture, integration touchpoints, and technical implementation across global warehouse operations.​

The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience and expertise in SAP EWM (Warehouse Management), as well as integration knowledge across MM, SD, and other ECC modules. Knowledge of S/4HANA is required.​

This role requires someone who can bridge functional process knowledge with technical integration skills (IDocs, queues, system interfaces) and collaborate effectively with both business and IT stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Solution Architecture — Define the overall EWM architecture including process flows, integration models, and system landscape.​
  • Process Design — Lead blueprinting workshops for inbound, outbound, internal warehouse processes, VAS, kitting, replenishment, and PI.​
  • Configuration Governance — Oversee configuration of warehouse process types, WOCR, storage control, strategies, and RF frameworks.​
  • Integration Leadership — Architect integration with ECC/S4, PP, and external systems (MES, automation).​
  • Technical Oversight — Guide development teams on BADIs, enhancements, PPF actions, queues, and performance optimization.​
  • Master Data Strategy — Define warehouse master data structures including storage types, bins, HU types, packaging specs, and BP roles.​
  • Global Template Governance — Build and maintain global EWM templates, ensuring standardization across sites.​
  • Testing & Validation — Define test strategy, scenarios, and acceptance criteria for SIT/UAT and hyper care.​
  • Operational Readiness — Support training, cutover planning, and go‑live readiness for warehouse teams.​
  • Continuous Improvement — Identify optimization opportunities using KPIs, dashboards, and operational analytics.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • SAP EWM Expertise — 8–12+ years in SAP EWM with hands‑on design of inbound, outbound, and internal processes.​
  • Warehouse Operations Knowledge — Deep understanding of real‑world warehouse flows, automation, and logistics.​
  • Technical Acumen — Strong knowledge of PPF, BRF+, RF screens, queues, CIF, IDocs, and BADI frameworks.​
  • Integration Experience — Proven experience integrating EWM with ECC/S4, Automation, and external systems.​
  • Solution Documentation — Ability to produce architecture diagrams, process flows, and functional specs.​
  • Stakeholder Management — Experience leading workshops with business, IT, and operations teams.​
  • Project Delivery — Experience in full lifecycle implementations including blueprint, build, test, and go‑live.​

Preferred Qualifications:

SAP EWM certification​

Experience with automation (AGVs, conveyors, ASRS, WCS integration)​

Experience in S/4HANA EWM

Knowledge of EWM integration with 3rd Party softwares

Experience with global template rollouts

The base pay range for this position is:

$119,920 - $164,890

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

If this is a commission eligible position the commission eligibility will be in accordance with the terms of the Company's plan. Commissions are based on individual performance and/or company performance.
