Are you interested in playing a key role in defining the future of Aerospace and Defense? If so, we are hiring an SAP Development Lead to help drive our oneRTX: Process & Systems Transformation.
The oneRTX Process & Systems Transformation program will harmonize key business processes, associated tools, metrics, and reporting across the company, enabling the migration of capabilities into standardized ERP systems. RTX has chosen SAP’s S4 HANA to enable our future ERP system and has largely concluded the strategic definition and design phase and is now entering the initial blueprinting, build and support phases.
The SAP developer is responsible for designing, coding, programming, testing, and debugging development objects to support the oneRTX:Process & Systems Transformation within multiple SAP Applications. Commonly known as RICEFWs (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, and Workflows), the SAP developer will be assigned development objects of varying complexity. They will be expected to work within assigned schedule and budget and deliver quality work products. They will follow development standards for the program and understand SAP’s Clean Core methodology. They will support all phases of the program, from Blueprint all the way through Hypercare of Business Unit implementations.
You are the ideal candidate if you have experience working within an organization that is responsible for driving large scale, complex programs and projects related to business process and system transformation, ideally ERP implementation using SAP’s S4 HANA solution.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Design, code, test and assure quality of simple to complex RICEFWs
- Verify that the delivered RICEFWs meet the functional and design requirements in conjunction with SAP functional team members
- Investigate, analyze problems; and resolve issues
- Design and implement user-friendly UIs as well as robust back-end functionality, ensuring seamless integration from S4 HANA to other SAP products
- Learn Business Processes delivered in multiple Workstreams to develop better software in support of Enterprise
- Mentor and share experience with early career developers
- Adopt Clean Core mindset and learn technologies needed to enhance SAP within RTX’s goal of common and standard
QUALIFICATIONS YOU MUST HAVE:
- Typically a minimum of 8+ years’ experience in development and supporting SAP ERP and a bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of related work experience and schooling in lieu of degree; Advanced degree and 5+ years' related work experience
- 5+ years’ strong programming background and excellent technical skills in ABAP, ABAP OO, Data Dictionary, Function Module, OData & CDS
- 5+ years’ experience in SAP UI5/Fiori is an additional advantage
- Current U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
QUALIFICATIONS WE PREFER:

- Experience working on large, complex A&D enterprise projects -- or similarly regulated, large organization
- Experience with agile frameworks/iterative approaches to software development and implementation projects

- Compliance Mindset: Familiarity with financial regulations, controls, and security measures. Experience implementing and maintaining compliance standards within an ERP system.
Required Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) or related discipline or equivalent combination of related work experience and schooling in lieu of degree

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
