The SAP S/4HANA Developer is responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, and supporting custom solutions on the SAP S/4HANA greenfield platform. The role focuses on modern clean OO oriented ABAP development, performance optimization, and seamless integration with SAP and non-SAP systems while following SAP clean core principles.

 

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain custom applications and enhancements in SAP S/4HANA, replace legacy developments with S/4HANA‑optimized solutions, follow clean‑core, clean ABAP with strict usage of object oriented and extensibility best practices.

• Develop and support integrations using mainly RAP based OData services, REST APIs

• Develop UI solutions using: SAP Fiori Elements and RAP based OData backend services

• Develop side by side extensions with SAP Build and ABAP Environment

• Develop Adobe Forms

• Develop, prototype, test & implement solution improvements to increase stability, usability, and functionality to enable end users to meet business objectives.

• Understand non-SAP business systems and their interaction with SAP. Assist in the management of those systems as part of a systems management portfolio.

• Work with other IT personnel on any change affecting areas outside of SAP’s module and perform rigorous testing.

• Evaluate the design and code carried out by external partner to ensure it follows clean core and clean ABAP

• Help support BAU in legacy ECC system until decommission

NOTE: Role requires flexibility in working hours and availability for on‑call support to respond to critical incidents when needed.

Key requirements

• 6+ years of hands-on experience as SAP Developer using ABAP object oriented

• High‑quality, S/4HANA‑compliant custom developments with special focus on managed RAP applications

• BTP Build, ABAP Environment

• Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions

• Ability to work collaboratively with business users and technical teams to identify and resolve issues

• Good communication skills, both written and verbal

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

• Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and manage multiple projects simultaneously

• Ability to review and manage work done by external partners

Education/ Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.

• SAP S4/Hana OR ABAP Certifications will be a plus
