You Are: SAP Deployment Operations Consultant

The Work:

We are seeking a Deployment Operations Consultant to support a large-scale, complex SAP S/4HANA implementation for a federal client. This role will serve as the critical execution partner to the overall Deployment Lead. In this dynamic, high-visibility role, you will act as the "right hand" and operational engine for the deployment stream. You will work closely with the Deployment Lead and client stakeholders to help manage the day-to-day delivery activities that keep deployment planning and execution moving forward. You will be responsible for tracking milestones, drafting and polishing executive-level deliverables, coordinating cross-team meetings, and ensuring administrative and operational discipline across the deployment lifecycle. This is a premier growth opportunity for a detail-oriented consultant looking to learn the inner workings of a large S/4HANA delivery program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Master Schedule Maintenance: Support the Deployment Lead by tracking daily progress against the deployment schedule. Follow up with functional and technical workstream leads to gather status updates and identify delayed tasks
  • Action Item Triage: Document, track, and drive to closure all action items, decisions, and risks raised during deployment planning sessions and daily stand-ups
  • Meeting Facilitation & Coordination: Coordinate logistics, draft agendas, and document minutes for key deployment meetings, including command readiness checkpoints and internal alignment sessions
  • Content Development: Draft, format, and compile deployment deliverables, status reports, executive briefing slides, and readiness playbooks
  • High Attention to Detail: Review all outgoing deployment documentation for quality, consistency, and professional formatting, ensuring they are polished and client-ready before review by the Lead
  • Knowledge Management: Organize and maintain the deployment team's shared repository (e.g., SharePoint, Teams), ensuring version control and easy retrieval of critical project artifacts and signoffs
  • Connecting the Dots: Act as a central point of contact within the deployment team, helping route questions, escalate urgent issues, and facilitate communication between functional, technical, and change management workstreams
  • Ad-Hoc Delivery Execution: Serve as a flexible resource ready to pivot and assist where needed most, whether that involves preparing data for a readiness assessment, organizing a workshop, or helping draft a communications memo

Here’s What You Need:

  • 4+ years of professional experience in management consulting, IT project management, or large-scale systems integration environments
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and collaborative platforms like SharePoint and MS Teams

Nice to have:

  • Prior exposure to ERP (e.g., SAP) projects or federal IT programs

Eligibility Requirements:

  • US Citizen (no dual citizenship)
  • Active Secret clearance required
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%
