Job Description

Role Title : SAP Data Specialist
Reporting to: Data Architect and Governance Manager
Location: Ortigas Center, Metro Manila, Philippines
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary Range: PHP120,000 – PHP140,000/month 
Annual Salary Type: 13 months

XP Power are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Material Master Data Steward to join our team.  The ideal candidate will have proven experience working with SAP and master data, with a focus on support leadership and change management.  The role provides opportunity to implement continuous improvement initiatives around the way material master data and associated objects are change controlled and protected in XP Power’s SAP environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Master Data Governance & Change Management: Oversee the master data change process, acting as the gatekeeper and coordinator for all change requests and incidents. Ensure completeness, quality, and timely implementation, while monitoring ticket aging and communicating progress to the business.
• Impact Analysis & Process Integration: Conduct impact assessments for complex material master change requests, considering broader process changes and interdependencies with other SAP data objects. Support and analyse mass update requests for master data.
• Team Leadership & Training: Lead a small team of SAP Material Master Data Specialists, providing training and guidance on business processes, technologies, and the full lifecycle of SAP master data.
• Master Data Maintenance & Support: Provide hands-on support for master data maintenance in SAP as needed. Proactively assist the business with master data queries from a technical standpoint.
• Data Quality & Governance: Regularly review, measure, and report on master data quality for cleansing. Document key processes around master data change to establish a structured data ownership and governance model.
• MDM (Maextro) Management & Implementation: Manage and govern MDM/MDG, implementing in-house and external solutions based on business requirements. Oversee the Maextro MM creation process, ensuring timely processing and visibility through reporting.
• Data Migration & Ownership: Act as a technical expert for data migration initiatives, ensuring master data loads are fit for SAP. Work on the Data Matrix to identify data owners for master data objects and their relevant fields.

Qualifications

• Over 3 years of experience with SAP S/4HANA, with proven proficiency in the MM, PP, EWM, and SD modules.
• Strong understanding of the material master’s role within the broader SAP system landscape and experience in a functional SAP capacity.
• Extensive experience in master data management and governance principles, with a focus on data accuracy and quality.
• In-depth understanding of the technical structure of master data objects in SAP.
• Experience with migration and mass update tools in SAP.
• Strong analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring data accuracy and high-quality standards.
• Excellent communicator, able to simplify complex problems and present them clearly to non-technical audiences.
• Highly self-motivated with strong organizational abilities and the capacity to work independently.
• Experience with Power BI reporting and proficiency in SQL.
• Working knowledge of MDM/MDG tools is a plus.
• Strong people management skills and experience in stakeholder engagement, fostering effective collaboration with the business community.
