SMX is looking for an experienced Sr. SAP Data Migration Consultant to work closely with our clients and project team. The successful candidate will develop Master Data Management (MDM) and data‑migration solutions throughout the full lifecycle of an SAP greenfield implementation. This includes migrating data from various legacy systems. This role is remote supporting a Washington, DC based customer and requires a Public Trust clearance.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- The project scope includes data cleansing, data validation, data consolidation, and the successful loading of data into the S/4HANA system.
- Due to contract requirements, this position requires U.S. citizenship and the successful completion of a CGI background check prior to onboarding.
- Candidates must also be able to obtain and maintain a DHS EOD/Public Trust clearance
- Six or more years of experience in SAP end‑to‑end implementations and data migration.
- Must have experience with SAP BODS and S/4HANA Migration Cockpit
- Understanding of other data‑load methods and ETL tools such as LSMW, LTMC, etc.
- Experience in data management, including leading data‑migration execution activities: cleansing, extracting, staging, transforming, loading, consolidation, validation, and defect resolution.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Experience with Agile methodology.
- SAP Data Services/BODS: this is the ETL tool that the project will be using.
- A strong background in ETL overall but doesn’t have the BODS experience specifically we would also consider similar ETL tools like Informatica, IBM DataStage, or Talend.
- S/4HANA Migration Cockpit: this is the migration tool we will be using to load into the target environment. We would prefer them to have this experience, but if they have similar experiences in LSMW, we could consider it as well.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a federal clearance - US citizenship required.
