The SAP Data Analyst is a senior-level role responsible for ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and functionality of core business data. This position bridges the gap between commercial operations and technical product modeling. The successful candidate will manage end-to-end Customer Master Data and the complex logic within SAP Variant Configuration (VC) to ensure seamless Order-to-Cash (OTC) processes and production efficiency.
ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include, but are not restricted to, the following list:
1. Customer Master Data Management
- Data Governance: Create, modify, and maintain Customer Master records, Business Partners (BP), and Customer Hierarchies to ensure a "single source of truth."
- Commercial Logic: Set up and manage Customer Assortments and specific master data blocks (e.g., credit blocks, delivery blocks) based on business requirements.
- Relationship Mapping: Maintain complex business partner functions and relationships to support shipping, billing, and sales processes.
- Data Quality: Perform regular audits and cleansing of customer records to ensure compliance with global data standards.
2. Variant Configuration (VC) & Product Modeling
- Classification System: Design and maintain Characteristics (CT04), Classes (CL02), and Classification Hierarchies.
- Configurable Materials: Set up and manage Configurable Materials (KMAT) and Configuration Profiles (CU41/CU42).
- Dependency Engineering: Write and maintain advanced Object Dependencies, including Constraints, Rules, Selection Conditions, and Procedures.
- Master Data Structures: Develop and maintain "Super" Bills of Material (BOMs) and Super Routings to support all possible product permutations.
- Advanced Logic: Build and manage Variant Tables and Variant Functions to simplify complex configuration logic.
- Pricing Logic: Establish and maintain Variant Pricing (VA00/SD conditions) for specific configuration choices.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience: Minimum of 6+ years of hands-on experience in SAP Master Data management and Variant Configuration.
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.
Technical Skillset
Must Have:
- SAP Module Expertise: Deep functional knowledge of SAP SD (Sales & Distribution) and the OTC (Order-to-Cash) cycle.
- Variant Configuration (LO-VC): Expert-level experience in modeling configurable products, including KMATs and Configuration Profiles.
- Object Dependency Syntax: Proficiency in writing and troubleshooting SAP syntax for Constraints, Procedures, Selection Conditions, and Pre-conditions.
- Master Data Objects: Proven experience managing Customer Master, Business Partners, Super BOMs, and Super Routings.
- SAP Basis Knowledge: Basic understanding of SAP Basis components (e.g., system architecture, transport management, or user authorizations/roles).
Good to Have:
- S/4HANA Experience: Experience with S/4HANA Business Partner conversion and the S/4HANA Migration Cockpit.
- Mass Data Tools: Proficiency with mass maintenance tools such as Winshuttle, LSMW, or SAP MASS.
- Cross-Functional Integration: Understanding of how VC and Customer Master data integrate with PP (Production Planning) and FICO (Finance/Controlling).
- Certifications: SAP Certification in Order Management, PLM, or Variant Configuration.
