Job Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Understanding business needs: Working closely with stakeholders to understand their business objectives and needs, articulating business problems, and translating them into a solution design
  • Leading the project: Overseeing the entire project lifecycle, ensuring alignment with industry best practices
  • Collaborating with teams: Working with cross-functional teams, technical leads, and business analysts
  • Design Commerce Cloud Architecture: Design and deliver an end-to-end eCommerce implementation, starting with the business blueprint, configuration, and guiding commerce and UI developers.
  • Commerce Cloud Development: Experience in Hybris catalog management, order management, promotions, pricing, Punchout integration with B2B institutes procurement systems and other B2B eCommerce concepts
  • Global Mindset: Implement a common framework across multiple countries
  • Integration Solutions: Architect and implement robust integration solutions using MuleSoft to connect disparate systems, both on-premises and in the cloud.
  • Performance Optimization: Optimize commerce cloud performance through monitoring and analytics tools, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to enhance efficiency.
  • Security Protocols: Incorporate security protocols and best practices into microservices design, utilizing MuleSoft's out-of-the-box security features and custom policies to safeguard data and applications.
  • CI/CD Pipeline Integration: Implement continuous integration and deployment pipelines for microservices, integrating SAP CC applications with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Maven, GitHub/GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
  • API Monitoring: Utilize APM tools like Dynatrace or AppDynamics and Log aggregation tools like Splunk or Dynatrace.
  • Disaster Recovery Planning: Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans for microservices, ensuring resilience and continuity in the face of cybersecurity incidents.
  • Agile and DevOps Practices: Foster an Agile development environment, integrating DevOps practices to streamline the development and deployment of microservices.
  • Technical Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for microservices architectures, API designs, and integration patterns developed with MuleSoft.
  • Team Leadership and Mentorship: Mentor and lead teams in SAP CC best practices, design principles, and technical skills development.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with business stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions, advocating for the strategic value of MuleSoft technologies in solving business challenges.
  • Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Stay ahead of technology trends and innovations, continuously applying new features and capabilities to improve SAP CC architecture.

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • At least ten years of Information Technology experience designing and developing using Java, J2EE applications, frameworks
  • 5+ years of hands-on architecture and application development experience of progressive complexity on SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris)
  • Experience with the full SAP Hybris stack, including the Model View Controller (MVC) architecture and integration best practices. Strong working experience with Hybris developing/maintaining custom extensions and modules.
  • Experience in data modeling for complex B2B B2C business processes
  • Strong hands-on experience customizing Hybris-based e-commerce Applications, Hybris CMS, and e-commerce suites (WCMS, Solr, HMC, CMS & Product Cockpit, Admin Console, Import/Export Service, Catalogs, Categories, Products).
  • Experience and passion to work in a fast-paced Agile environment.
  • A BA/BS and MA/MS in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field strongly preferred
  • Comfortable working in internationally distributed teams
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
