We are looking for a Business Objects (BO) have strong expertise in Web Intelligence (WEBI), Universe Design, SQL querying, and report optimization to support business reporting and analytics requirements. This position will be full-time and Hybrid - Bengaluru.
What You’ll Do
Analyze business and reporting requirements and translate them into technical reporting solutions
Develop, modify, and maintain reports using SAP Business Objects Web Intelligence (WEBI)
Design and develop Universes using Universe Designer/IDT based on business needs
Create complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and data extraction logic for reporting purposes
Develop Ad-hoc reports and dashboards to support business users and management teams
Perform report validation, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure data accuracy and consistency
Fine-tune Universes, SQL queries, and WEBI reports for improved performance and optimization
Work closely with business stakeholders, data analysts, and database teams to gather reporting requirements
Handle report scheduling, publication, and distribution through Business Objects platform
Ensure data security, access controls, and report governance standards are maintained
Support production issues, bug fixes, and enhancements related to BO reports and Universes
Participate in migration activities, BO upgrades, and deployment processes when required
What You'll Need
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
3–5 years of experience in SAP Business Objects (BO) development
Strong hands-on experience with WEBI report development
Experience in Universe Design using UDT/IDT
Strong SQL knowledge with experience in writing complex queries
Good understanding of relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or Teradata
Experience in report performance tuning and optimization techniques
Knowledge of BO architecture, CMC, scheduling, and security concepts
Physical Demands
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions
Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
