Ferring+You

You’ll be part of a global SAP team delivering critical infrastructure for Ferring’s digital transformation. Based in Lisbon, you’ll collaborate with colleagues across Europe, the US, and Asia to design and manage the technical architecture of our SAP systems in a cloud-first environment.

This is a high-impact role at the core of our global ERP program. You’ll help shape the foundation that supports our supply chain, R&D, finance, and manufacturing operations, bringing stability, innovation, and scale to systems that ultimately support patients and families around the world.

You’ll work across technical and business teams to ensure SAP runs reliably, securely, and in line with best practices while contributing to one of the most important digital programs in Ferring’s history.

Your Day at Ferring

• Troubleshoot SAP infrastructure incidents and problems across platforms such as S/4HANA, Solution Manager, GRC, SLT, and GTS.

• Execute infrastructure changes with risk assessment in line with the Change Control Process.

• Perform proactive system maintenance (patching, hotfixes, service updates) with proper documentation.

• Design and implement new infrastructure solutions, including testing (IQ/OQ/PQ), and facilitate knowledge transfer between internal teams and external partners.

• Define and govern the SAP technical architecture, ensuring scalable, secure, and standards-aligned infrastructure across cloud and on-premise environments.

• Share knowledge gained from implementations and support team learning to strengthen operational capabilities.

• Mentor and guide Basis team members on technical standards, methodologies, and best practices.

• Represent SAP Basis in internal/external meetings, ensuring alignment with departmental goals and architectural governance.

• Keep abreast of technological development and uses the information to proactively initiate enhancements to mitigate against future problems

Behing our Innovation... There's you

We are looking for a talented individual with around five years of experience as part of an SAP Basis team. You will need teamworking capabilities, with the ability to focus, prioritise, problem solve and deliver results in a dynamic environment.

The chosen person will have knowledge and proven results in the following areas:

• University degree in Computer Science or equivalent IT background

• English – Fluent in speaking and writing

• SAP S/4HANA and Hana Database;

• SAP NetWeaver stack and multiple platforms like SAP S/4HANA, Solution Manager, GTS, GRC, SLT;

• SAP BTP platform and Cloud Connector;

• SAP Basis projects & operations – Deployments, Client copies, System copies, Database Refreshes, Kernel Upgrades, Disaster Recovery Exercises, Support Package installations, Upgrades;

• Microsoft Azure Cloud Environment and running SAP systems in Azure.
