We are looking for an experienced SAP Business One Sr. Techno-Functional Consultant to provide support, troubleshooting, and ongoing system optimization.
Key Responsibilities
System Performance Review & Troubleshooting
- Conduct a comprehensive review of the SAP B1 system, environment, and configuration to determine root causes of:
- UI lag and freezing
- Printing and PDF preview delays
- Slow search and lookup performance
- Analyze client/server logs, SQL/HANA performance data, add-ons, and network factors to identify bottlenecks.
- Recommend and implement performance optimization strategies.
Crystal Reports Review & Optimization
- Review, modify, and optimize existing Crystal Report forms and layouts.
- Resolve issues related to slow rendering, print preview delays, and PDF generation.
- Improve Crystal Reports performance by adjusting formulas, queries, images, subreports, and design.
Query Development & Optimization
- Edit and create simple SQL queries using existing SAP B1 tables.
- Tune queries for optimal performance following best practices.
- Support reporting and data extraction needs.
Boyum B1 Usability Package (B1UP)
- Review existing Boyum configurations, macros, and validations.
- Optimize Boyum usage to ensure it is not contributing to UI slowness.
- Implement new Boyum rules or enhancements as needed.
Data Cleanup & System Stabilization
- Identify and clean up problematic or outdated data contributing to slow performance.
- Support efforts to streamline master data, transactions, and system load.
- Recommend ongoing data maintenance and cleanup routines.
Requirements
Required Skills & Experience
- 4–7+ years hands-on experience with SAP Business One.
- Strong techno-functional understanding of SAP B1 modules (Sales, Purchasing, Inventory, Finance).
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting performance issues in SAP B1 (version 9.x or 10.0).
- Proficiency with Crystal Reports (editing, debugging, performance tuning).
- Strong SQL skills (SQL Server or SAP HANA), including:
- Writing simple queries
- Optimizing slow queries
- Experience with Boyum B1UP (validations, macros, screen customization).
- Ability to independently analyze problems and implement practical solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience resolving post-upgrade SAP B1 performance issues.
- Experience with reporting performance, printing delays, and PDF rendering problems.
- Understanding of add-ons, DI API, Service Layer, and system integrations.
- Data cleanup and database housekeeping experience.
