SAP and Automation Program Manager – IT

 

Position Summary – Lead and manage the implementation and optimization of SAP S4 HANA solutions and automation platforms, including ownership, management of strategic planning, project management, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure successful deployment and integration of technologies to enhance business processes and deliver business outcome improvement.

 

Primary Responsibilities for the SAP and Automation Program Manager – IT:

  • Manage and direct the support team in all aspects related to SAP S4 HANA and automation platform project management: root cause analysis, data analysis and migration, requirements gathering, infrastructure and security integration, development, and testing through the development and maintenance of comprehensive project plans, schedules, and resource allocations.

  • Oversee and manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within scope. Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies to address potential project challenges. Monitor and analyze project performance and make recommendations for continuous improvement.

  • Plan for collaboration of all stakeholders (business leaders, IT teams, and external vendors) to gather requirements and ensure alignment on project objectives including effective communication between technical teams and business users and leaders in all milestone and overall project timelines.

  • Ensure key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of all initiatives are planned for and in place at time of implementation (go live) and ensure hypercare plans include monitoring of KPIs.

  • Act as a gate keeper to ensure compliance with standard operating procedures governing security, development implementation and best practices, promotion from non production to production environments.

  • Oversee and coordinate with the SAP and Automation Technical lead the set up and implementation of the technical infrastructure and operational framework for any new application, system or platform (including installation, configuration and developer guidelines and best practices, security requests and maintenance, system monitoring, landscape, changes to standard work updates or creation, and support request management).

  • Co-lead strategic planning and implementation of robotic automation including the identification of automation opportunities, assess automation feasibility and benefits, and the use and determination of which robotic automation technology(ies) (Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Machine Learning (ML) would meet business outcome(s).

  • Ensure processes and work standards are in place and followed to be in compliance with IT General Controls (ITGC) including keeping control language current, identification of new controls, and supporting internal or external auditors as required.

  • Present progress reports, offer alternatives and/or solutions to address feedback or schedule (timeframe) risks.

  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

 

Required for the SAP and Automation Program Manager – IT:

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in business administration, computer science, information technology, or in a related field. 

  • 10+ years of experience in experience in program or project management, with a focus on SAP S4 HANA and automation platforms.

  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale technology implementations.

  • Strong understanding of SAP modules, business processes, and automation technologies (e.g., RPA, workflow automation).

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

  • Project management certification.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.

  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Demonstrated continuous improvement outcomes with enterprise-wide qualitative results.
