DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
To perform a variety of blasting, priming, and painting applications and painting related activities requiring knowledge of techniques, tools, equipment, and safety precautions. To adhere to the general safety plan. May be required to do other duties, including undercoating, as requested by supervisor. Primary job functions typically require exercising some independent judgement. Performs work at a quality level consistent with Wabash National/ Transcraft standard practice. Supervised by supervisor, general foreman, manager, or department head.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have both written and verbal communication skills. High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is preferred for this position. Must pass an initial and annual pulmonary exam. Must complete respiratory fit testing as needed and adhere to guidelines. Must complete painters’ safety training. Must meet the above qualifications before assuming undercoating or painting duties. May be required to successfully complete other special training for specific assignments.
