SUMMARYThe Sampler is responsible for conducting basic inspection tasks on small vessels and barges. This role involves performing fundamental sampling and measurement duties under supervision, ensuring compliance with industry procedures, and supporting senior inspectors. The Sampler will work in various field conditions, including confined spaces and at heights, and must adhere to strict safety regulations. The position may require irregular shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESConduct basic sampling and inspection tasks on small vessels and barges.
Follow defined procedures and client instructions for sampling and measurement.
Ensure proper labeling, storage, and transportation of collected samples.
Assist senior inspectors in more complex tasks as needed.
Maintain accurate records and documentation of sampling activities.
Adhere to all company safety policies and industry regulations.
Participate in training programs to develop technical knowledge and skills.
Continuously update knowledge and skills within the field.
To always respect and protect company and client confidentiality.
Perform additional duties as assigned, demonstrating adaptability and a commitment to operational excellence.
Minimum high school/secondary education or equivalent.
No prior experience required; training will be provided.
Willingness to learn and develop within the field.
Valid Class B driving license with a satisfactory driving record.
Valid work permit for Germany.
Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment.
Capability to share knowledge and expertise with colleagues.
Good verbal and written proficiency in German (B1 level) and basic English (A2 level).
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety regulations.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Awareness of hazardous material handling and transportation regulations.
Familiarity with laboratory sample handling and documentation.
Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
High levels of conscientiousness, honesty, punctuality, accuracy, and attention to detail.
Willingness to participate in training courses as required.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Digital Agility: utilize technology to enhance operational efficiency and prepare the organization to adopt digital practices.
