The Seminaries and Institutes (SAI) is seeking an Administrative Assistant to provide support to leaders and functional teams who will be based at the SAI offices in Samoa. This role will assist with daily administrative operations, ensuring effective coordination, communication, and organisation within the office. This is a permanent full-time position of 40 hours per week reporting to the SAI Coordinator.
ResponsibilitiesBuild and maintain working relationships with coordinators, other administrative assistants, priesthood leaders, parents, students, stake supervisors, volunteer faculty and representatives in PBO in a professional manner.
Assist with training and orientation of teachers, supervisors in the use of WISE (Worldwide Institute and Seminary Enrolment programme). Some after-hours work may be required e.g. Training meetings
- Complete special projects, generate and distribute reports within specified deadlines.
- Administer SAI programmes accurately including ensuring graduation requirements are met for submission.
Work under the direction of SAI Coordinator for Seminary and Institute and Succeed in School programmes and have the ability to accept constructive feedback and make necessary adjustments.
- 1 year of clerical experience in professional office support or clerical functions
- Proficient in using social media e.g. Instagram, Facebook, etc. (preferred)
- Degree or Diploma in office management or related field (preferred)
- Proficient in Video Conferencing technology, and AI use (preferred)
- Skilled in utilizing Microsoft office applications with a high degree of competency and efficiency
- Experience in providing financial management support in a professional setting.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and meet deadlines
- Demonstrates strong follow up abilities to ensure timely completion of tasks and responsibilities
- Some experience with digital marketing will be advantageous, e.g. creating advertising with programmes such as CANVA, Capcut, social media marketing campaigns
- Experience as a seminary or institute teacher/supervisor an advantage
- Strong verbal and written skills in English and Samoan
- Willingness to support leaders and contribute positively to the mission and values of the Church
- Proof of legal right to work in Samoa
- Driver’s license
- A police background check may be required
