About you

In this role they will be responsible for working with business analysts, developers and stakeholders to implement, integrate and maintain the Salesforce solution. As a leader they will be expected to manage their time between Salesforce development and coordinating the Salesforce development teams efforts. Access believes in an iterative model of delivery and bringing value to our customers as quickly as possible. You will be hands on and expected to actively contribute to the development of the applications.

This position is critical for laying the right foundations to ensure implemented technical solutions can effectively evolve as our business needs change.

They will guide and mentor developers and communicate closely with the business, including keeping stakeholders informed of technical progress and risks.

Responsibilities

  • Design, code, unit test, system test, performance test, debug, implement, and support Salesforce.com application and integrations.
  • Design & implement APIs and web-based interfaces utilizing Apex code, Web Services, etc not wider application ecosystem.
  • Ensure the team follows best practices and accepted protocol around system security when architecting, programming or documenting solutions. 
  • Assist in resource allocation and planning through project planning, staff hiring, staff supplementation and/or outsourcing initiatives.
  • Work closely with implementation partners, 3rd party vendors and other technology teams to ensure appropriate infrastructure selection, maintenance, policies and procedures are in place to support the application ecosystem.
  • Ensure the on-time delivery of enhancements or modifications to ongoing production CRM systems.
  • Encourages, motivates and leads by example. Fosters an environment where people can achieve their potential. supporting their training and career progression.

Key skills and experiences

  • Proven expertise in development, architecture, and delivery experience
  • Proven experience working in a technical leadership role
  • Hands-on and extensive experience working on Salesforce.com including and not limited to: Apex, LWC, JavaScript and SOQL
  • Advanced knowledge of engineering and integration concepts, including REST API, Webservices, platform events and middleware
  • Proactive, analytical and capable of influencing and providing decision support
  • Salesforce Developer and / or architect certifications preferred but not essential
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
