We are looking for an experienced Senior Solution Architect with Salesforce expertise to lead on solution design across multiple orgs, spanning multiple products (eg Sales, Service, Financial Services, Experience and Shield). You will report into the Head of Domain Architect and will be responsible for all Salesforce solution design across Santander UK. You will also be the owner of all solution design level standards and processes, working in conjunction with a Senior Technical Architect who will be accountable for all detailed technical designs.
You’ll have the chance to work closely with a new Centre of Excellence to establish best practices for the Bank and guide a team of Solution Architects, where your involvement will be critical in the delivery of all Salesforce initiatives.
The difference you’ll make:
- Articulating the scope and function of the platform to both business and technical stakeholders
- Using your technical knowledge to help maximise reusability, minimise technical debt and leverage the best out of the platform
- Guiding the team of Solution Architects providing oversight and support
- Advising and helping to guide technology and the business, blending pragmatism with best practice
- Developing and refining design process and governance
- Working with existing architecture teams across the Bank including enterprise architecture and the Salesforce CoE (Centre of Excellence)
What you’ll bring:
These are the essential requirements you need to be successful in this role:
- Able to apply a structured and methodical approach to design work
- Able to articulate the place and usage of Salesforce in an enterprise context
- Experience and understanding of platform best practices
- Relationship management and communication with all levels of stakeholders
- Able to articulate the rationale for design decisions, balancing best practise against business needs
It would also be nice for you to have:
- Working within an Enterprise environment following best practices of the platform
- Financial Services Cloud
- Architecture certifications (Salesforce and non-Salesforce), or equivalent
- Knowledge and experience on platform controls (especially security and data)
What else you need to know:
This role is a permanent position to be based in Milton Keynes.

To support this, we offer site-based contracts with a hybrid working pattern and our expected level of attendance in an office is at least 12 days per month (pro-rata for part-time roles).

1st Stage – A 60 minute virtual interview consisting of a range of technical questions.
2nd Stage – A 60 minute face to face, or virtual interview (depending on your circumstances), consisting of a range of competency based questions.

- Eligible for a discretionary performance-related annual bonus.
