The Team:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Salesforce QA Specialist to join our Commercial Platforms team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, integrity, and performance of our Salesforce ecosystem. You won't just be testing UI; you will be validating complex Apex logic, Lightning Web Components (LWC), intricate Flows, and multi-system integrations.
The ideal candidate understands that Salesforce testing is unique—requiring a deep understanding of governor limits, profiles/permissions, and the nuances of the Salesforce release cycle. You will act as an independent contributor, driving complex projects with minimal supervision while maintaining high governance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Functional & Technical Testing
End-to-End Execution: Perform comprehensive manual and functional testing across Salesforce clouds, specifically Sales Cloud and Service Cloud.
Security & Logic Validation: Validate Salesforce Security Models (Sharing Rules, Profiles, Permission Sets) and test custom objects, validation rules, and Apex triggers.
API & Integration: Conduct REST-API testing and integration testing between Salesforce and third-party systems (Sales solutions, Marketing Automation, etc.).
Test Artifact Creation: Develop and maintain clear, concise, detail-oriented Test Plans and Test Cases for new and existing features, including scheduling and exit criteria.
Platform Diversity: Proficiently execute cross-browser testing, mobile testing, and translation testing.
2. Specialized SFDC QA Activities
UAT & Stakeholder Management: Facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business stakeholders, ensuring User Story Acceptance Criteria are met.
Regression Management: Maintain the regression suite to ensure monthly deployments or bi-annual Salesforce platform releases do not impact existing customizations.
Data Management: Utilize Data Loader for bulk data operations (insert, update, import/export) while ensuring referential integrity.
Defect Management: Participate in defect triage meetings and communicate effectively with development and project management teams.
3. Automation & Process Improvement
Scripting: Build and maintain automated test scripts optimized for the Shadow DOM in Lightning using tools like Selenium, Provar, AccelQ, or Copado Robotic Testing.
Governance: Work with the Governance COE to ensure all documentation meets strict compliance and audit standards.
DevOps Integration: Utilize Copado, Gearset, or Flosum within an Agile CI/CD pipeline.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Requirements
Experience: Minimum of 4 years in SFDC Manual testing with relevant hands-on automation experience.
Automation Proficiency: Experience writing test scripts; familiarity with programming languages like Python is preferred. Experience with Copado Automation is a significant plus.
SOQL Mastery: Ability to write SOQL queries to verify backend data integrity.
Agile Expertise: Strong hands-on experience in the Agile Scrum process and working within Sprint cycles.
Education & Certifications
Education: Bachelor of Science degree from a four-year college, university, or equivalent.
Mandatory Certification: Salesforce Administrator Certified (ADM-201).
Preferred Certifications: ISTQB, equivalent QA certification, or Automation Testing certifications.
Professional Competencies
Independence: Strong skills in independently driving complex projects with minimal supervision.
Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain technical bugs and their business impact.
Adaptability: Flexible and adaptable to complex situations; ability to create test plans from vague specifications or verbal communications.
