Salesforce Marketing Cloud Manager

Summary:

The Salesforce Marketing Cloud Manager is a highly skilled professional responsible for the technical architecture, implementation, and optimization of the Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform, as well as leading and managing a team of marketing automation professionals. This role requires a unique blend of technical expertise and leadership abilities to drive the team's success in delivering high-quality campaigns and achieving business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Expertise: Provide deep technical expertise across the Salesforce Marketing Cloud suite, including Journey Builder, Email Studio, Automation Studio, Mobile Studio, Content Builder and Personalization. Demonstrate proficiency in AMPscript, SQL, and API development for advanced customization and integration.
  • Solution Design: Design and implement scalable and efficient solutions that meet business needs and align with industry best practices. This includes integrating Salesforce Marketing Cloud with other critical systems.
  • Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize the performance of the platform, ensuring high availability and responsiveness.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues, providing timely and effective solutions.
  • Innovation: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, and recommend innovative solutions to enhance the platform's capabilities.
  • Team Management: Lead and manage a team of marketing automation specialists, providing clear direction, setting goals, and fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
  • Project Management: Oversee the execution of marketing automation projects, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to budgets, and achievement of desired outcomes.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including the Marketing Automation Product Owner, marketing, sales, and IT teams, to understand their needs and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve team processes, workflows, and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Mentorship and Development: Provide coaching and mentorship to team members, fostering their professional growth and development.
  • Budget and Vendor Management: Own the vendor relationship and oversee and manage the budget with vendors such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Twilio, and Litmus, including monitoring costs, thresholds, and invoices. Manage access and permissions for these platforms, ensuring appropriate user provisioning and security.

  • Managing Stakeholder Expectations: The Lead must effectively manage the expectations of various stakeholders, including marketing, sales, and IT teams, while ensuring the team's focus on delivering results.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Marketing, Business, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in Salesforce Marketing Cloud
  • Strong understanding of marketing automation principles and best practices
  • Experience with data management, integration, and API development
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Proven leadership and team management skills
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Bilingual French/English (strong asset)
