Salesforce Marketing Cloud Functional Consultant (Senior Level), Singapore/ Malaysia

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Marketing Cloud Functional Consultant with at least 6 years of experience, including a strong background in functional consulting, campaign strategy, and technical configuration. This role is ideal for someone who can lead client engagements, drive end-to-end marketing automation initiatives, and deliver both functional and technical components using Ampscript, Apex, and Lightning Web Components (LWC).
The ideal candidate will also support pre-sales solutioning, lead small delivery teams, and guide best practices in omni-channel engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Functional Consulting, Campaign Execution & Pre-Sales
- Lead discovery workshops and campaign planning sessions with business stakeholders
- Design and oversee scalable customer journeys and multi-channel marketing use cases
- Build and optimize journeys using Journey Builder, segmentation logic, and automation tools
- Configure personalized content using Ampscript, data extensions, and audience filters
- Guide user acceptance testing (UAT), conduct training sessions, and analyze campaign performance
- Support pre-sales efforts including solution design, effort estimation, and demo preparation
Technical Development & Cross-Cloud Integration
- Develop components and logic using:
- Ampscript for dynamic and personalized content
- Apex or Lightning Web Components (LWC) for integration with Salesforce Core (Sales, Service, Experience Cloud)
- APIs or Platform Events for automation triggers and campaign orchestration
- Collaborate with architects, developers, and QA teams to ensure scalable, high-quality solutions
Team Leadership & Delivery Oversight
- Mentor and lead junior consultants and campaign developers
- Manage delivery timelines, issue resolution, and coordination with offshore and onshore teams
Requirements & Key Skillsets:
- Minimum 6 years of Salesforce consulting experience, including at least 3 years focused on Marketing Cloud
- Proven hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including:
- Journey Builder, Email Studio, Mobile Studio, and Automation Studio
- Ampscript for dynamic content creation
- SQL for segmentation and complex data queries
- Strong functional knowledge of digital marketing strategies, campaign automation, and audience segmentation
- Development experience with Apex and Lightning Web Components (LWC) for cross-cloud customizations
- Familiarity with Salesforce Data Extensions and integration patterns across multiple clouds
- Experience with at least one additional Salesforce module, such as:
- Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Data Cloud, Commerce Cloud, MuleSoft, or FSC for Insurance (SFI)
- Integration experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud and other systems via APIs or connectors
- Understanding of GDPR, consent management, and marketing compliance frameworks
- Familiarity with MuleSoft, CRM Analytics, or external marketing platforms
- Salesforce certifications preferred:
- Marketing Cloud Email Specialist
- Marketing Cloud Consultant
- Platform Developer I
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead functional discussions, campaign planning, and solution workshops
- Deep understanding of customer engagement strategies, campaign logic, and marketing automation best practices
