The Salesforce DevOps Engineer / Developer is responsible for designing, building, deploying, and supporting scalable Salesforce solutions while ensuring reliable CI/CD, release governance, and deployment automation. The role combines hands-on Salesforce development expertise with strong DevOps and release management capabilities to deliver changes safely, consistently, and with full traceability across environments.
Key tasks:
- Drive the DevOps and release strategy for a global Salesforce Sales & Service implementation;
- Design, develop, and maintain Salesforce solutions across Sales Cloud and Service Cloud using Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, integrations, and declarative configuration;
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps/Git, SFDX/sf CLI, validation deploys, automated tests, quality gates);
- Define environment and branching strategy, release governance, approvals, and rollback/hotfix procedures;
- Support end-to-end delivery from technical design and development through testing, deployment, and production stabilization;
- Troubleshoot deployment and application issues, including metadata dependencies, test failures, integration errors, permissions, and environment inconsistencies;
- Collaborate with architects, admins, business analysts, and product teams to translate requirements into robust technical solutions.
- Academic degree in Computer Science or a comparable qualification;
- Multiple years of experience in Salesforce development, DevOps, or release engineering;
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce development, including Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, and configuration;
- Experience building and operating CI/CD pipelines for Salesforce using Azure DevOps, Git, and SFDX/sf CLI;
- Strong understanding of Salesforce deployment concepts, including metadata, environments, Apex tests, dependencies, and rollback procedures;
- Good scripting and automation skills in PowerShell, Bash or Python;
- Experience with quality controls such as automated tests, static analysis, and PR policies;
- Knowledge of authentication and secrets management;
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies;
- Strong collaboration and problem-solving skills;
- Professional working proficiency in English;
- Open to international travel (up to 10%).
