Job Requirements:
Leadership & Team Management: Oversee and manage the Salesforce core cloud development practice, leading multiple development teams working across Salesforce Cloud, Service Cloud, Consumer Goods Cloud, Salesforce Communities, Knowledge, and Order Management Systems (OMS).
Architecture Oversight: Oversee the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and efficient Salesforce architectures that support the organization’s strategic vision.
Low-Code / No-Code Strategy: Promote the use of Salesforce’s low-code and no-code tools (like Flow, Process Builder, etc.) and ensure that the team is maximizing these tools in accordance with best practices and industry standards.
Technical Debt Management: Manage technical debt across teams, ensuring that long-term maintainability, scalability, and performance are considered in all architectural decisions.
Quality Assurance & Best Practices: Establish and enforce best practices for coding standards, unit testing, peer reviews, and overall solution quality. Ensure that all development adheres to established Salesforce development and security guidelines.
Collaboration with Stakeholders: Foster strong collaboration between development teams, Product Owners, business stakeholders, and other departments to ensure that the Salesforce solutions align with overall business goals.
Resource Allocation: Work closely with business partners and Product Owners to ensure that the development teams are staffed and resourced appropriately for project success.
Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve development processes to ensure efficient, predictable delivery of Salesforce solutions. Champion agile methodologies and iterate on processes for maximum team productivity.
Risk Management & Issue Resolution: Proactively identify potential risks or issues in development projects and work with teams to mitigate them before they impact timelines or quality.
Salesforce Ecosystem Knowledge: Maintain expertise in the latest Salesforce features and capabilities, and ensure that the team is keeping up-to-date with Salesforce releases and innovations.
Metrics & Reporting: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for team performance, development cycle efficiency, and the success of Salesforce implementations. Report progress to senior leadership.
Budget and Resource Planning: Oversee resource allocation, working with senior leadership to ensure proper planning and cost management for Salesforce development initiatives.
Vendor Management: Work with external vendors or consultants as needed, overseeing their contributions to the development process and ensuring alignment with internal standards and goals.
Salesforce Certification & Professional Development: Encourage and support team members in pursuing relevant Salesforce certifications and continuous professional development to maintain expertise in the Salesforce platform.
Qualifications:
Experience: 6+ years of Salesforce development experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role overseeing development teams.
Education: Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline; or equivalent experience
Proven Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and inspire teams to deliver high-quality solutions in a fast-paced environment.
Salesforce Expertise: Extensive experience in Salesforce Cloud, Service Cloud, Consumer Goods Cloud, Salesforce Communities, and Knowledge, with in-depth knowledge of Salesforce architecture, Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, and integrations.
Agile Methodology: Strong background in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) and the ability to drive Agile processes and ceremonies within the team.
Communication Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and senior leadership.
Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and provide input on how Salesforce solutions align with business goals and contribute to organizational success.
Change Management: Experience managing change within development teams and organizations, particularly as it relates to adopting new tools, technologies, or processes.
Salesforce Certifications: Preferred certifications include Salesforce Certified Technical Architect, Certified Platform Developer II, Certified Application Architect, Certified System Architect, or similar leadership-oriented certifications.
The starting budgeted pay range for this role will generally fall between $135,900.00 - $159,900.00 per year. Scotts will consider various factors in determining the actual pay including your skills, qualifications, experience, and geographical location.In addition to the determined base salary, this role is also incentive eligible under our corporate bonus programs.
