Job Summary
We are looking for a talented Salesforce Developer to design world-class Salesforce applications for our evolving CRM requirements. As a Salesforce Developer, you will be responsible for developing customized solutions within the Salesforce platform. You will also analyze project objectives, create customer workflows, and troubleshoot errors. To ensure success as a Salesforce Developer, you should have extensive experience working with Salesforce CRM platforms, application development skills, and the ability to solve complex software problems.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Develop innovative new tools and services on the Salesforce platform tailored to the complexities of labor resource management, payroll, and human resources
- Develop custom interfaces, advanced workflows, and other technical elements within Salesforce that improve the overall user experience
- Providing training to other junior developers and manage their growth as engineers
- Analyze business processes and translate them into efficient Salesforce implementations, leveraging Flows, Apex, LWC, and any other relevant APIs
- Assist with integrations involving third-party APIs and implementation.
- Take ownership of issues through to resolution - including translating business requirements to technical story requirements, troubleshooting issues, driving internal communication with business stakeholders, and gathering feedback to improve technical solutions on a regular basis
- Liaise and work closely with the internal teams on raised technical challenges and help guide product roadmap changes/new features.
- Support a culture of collaboration, respect, engineering/operational excellence, and regular delivery of customer value.
- Analyze complex business and technical requirements, with particular focus on their impact to the application infrastructure and environment, to guide solution design and delivery
- Enhance existing architecture and optimize performance for scale via best practices and industry standards
- Manage and complete Salesforce development deliverables with the ability to balance and prioritize multiple in-flight stories and initiatives.
- Establish best practices for code reviews, documentation, and the Salesforce development life cycle, contributing to the knowledge base and continuous learning of the development team
- Perform all testing of Salesforce code, components, and integrations, including helping write detailed user testing instructions for business users
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or information technology, with a Master’s degree in any related field being a plus
- 3-5+ years of experience in the programmatic development of Salesforce applications using Apex
- 3-5+ years of experience working on a development team in a highly customized Salesforce environment, as well as in-depth background working across various Salesforce clouds (Service, Experience, etc.)
- Highly experienced with Lightning (Aura and Lightning Web Components), Visualforce, REST and SOAP APIs, and Web Services.
- Non-Salesforce ecosystem development experience a plus (i.e. you were a software engineer before entering the Salesforce ecosystem)
- Architect-level experience preferred, but not required
- Well-versed in best DevOps practices and tools, including continuous integration and deployment pipelines
- The following certificates are strongly preferred: Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I & II, Salesforce Certified Application Architect, and Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder
