As a Salesforce Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing customized solutions within the Salesforce platform, with ownership of declarative and programmatic development, technical documentation, and mentorship of junior team members. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and ensure the effective use of Salesforce to achieve business goals and build our Product Roadmap. The Salesforce Developer will be working within the IT team and will report directly to the CRM Applications Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Development: Develop scalable and secure Salesforce applications using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and other Salesforce technologies.
- Custom Solutions: Customize Salesforce to fit business requirements, including creating custom objects, fields, validation rules, flows, and lightning web components.
- Integration: Integrate Salesforce with other enterprise systems using APIs, middleware, and third-party applications.
- Best Practices: Ensure adherence to Salesforce best practices, coding standards, and design patterns. Participate in code reviews and provide support to team members.
- Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, including design documents, system architecture, and user guides.
- Collaboration: Work closely with business analysts, administrators, project managers, and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Testing and Deployment: Develop and execute unit tests, support system testing, and manage deployment processes.
- Support: Provide technical support and troubleshoot issues within Salesforce, ensuring system stability and performance.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Salesforce Developer, with a solid understanding of the Salesforce platform.
- Previous experience as a Salesforce Administrator, Business Analyst, or similar role is required
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in Apex, Javascript, Visualforce, and Lightning Component Framework.
- Strong knowledge of Salesforce configuration, including workflows, validation rules, and security settings.
- Experience with Salesforce APIs (REST, SOAP) and integration tools (e.g., Boomi, MuleSoft, Informatica).
- Familiarity with web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and modern development frameworks.
- Experience with Lightning Web Components (LWC).
- Understanding of Agile development methodologies.
- Proven experience leading code reviews and mentoring junior developers.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications: Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I preferred; additional Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II, Salesforce Certified Application Architect) are a plus.
- Experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud.
- Experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud.
- Experience with Salesforce Maps.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure Dev Ops.
- Competency in HTML, XML, SQL, Java and/or REST and SOAP-based web services

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
