Job Purpose The Salesforce Consultant is instrumental in designing and implementing solutions that leverage the Salesforce platform to enhance business operations. This role requires a deep understanding of both Salesforce capabilities and business processes to deliver optimized and scalable solutions tailored to stakeholder needs.
Job Responsibilities
Core Functions:
- Engage with business units to understand their workflows and systems to recommend Salesforce solutions that drive efficiency.
- Perform detailed analysis of business and technical requirements and design the architecture for integrating Salesforce with other systems.
- Customize the Salesforce platform by developing and configuring custom reports, dashboards, workflows, and settings.
- Maintain user roles and hierarchies, security settings, access settings etc. (Profiles, Permission Sets, OWD, Sharing Rules etc.).
- Conduct data imports and maintenance tasks to ensure data integrity and cleanliness.
- Manage ongoing Salesforce maintenance and upgrades.
Training & Support:
- Aid development of training materials and conduct training sessions to improve adoption of the solutions deployed.
- Provide ongoing support and system administration to quickly fix issues with Salesforce applications.
Project Management:
- Lead small to medium scale Salesforce projects, coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery.
- Document changes and developments and report progress to senior management and stakeholders.
Measures of Success
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement functional Salesforce solutions within budget and timeline constraints.
- High satisfaction levels among end-users and stakeholders regarding system functionality and performance.
- Successful integration of Salesforce with other systems resulting in streamlined operations.
- Consistent data accuracy and system performance metrics meeting industry standards.
- Effective training programs leading to high adoption rates of Salesforce functionalities.
Key Qualifications & Experiences
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Business Information Systems, or a related field.
- At least 2-4 years of experience in Salesforce ecosystem roles, such as Salesforce Administrator or similar, with proven capability in designing and implementing solutions.
- Certified Salesforce Administrator or Salesforce Advanced Administrator; Salesforce Platform App Builder certification is a plus.
- Proficiency in Salesforce configuration and customization, including detailed knowledge of the platform's declarative capabilities including Flows, as well as basic understanding of Apex and LWC.
- Demonstrable experience with Salesforce data tools (Data Loader etc.).
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work closely with business and technical teams.
- Experience in documenting system processes and training end-users.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, capable of translating technical details into understandable business language.
- Agile project management experience is preferred.
Other Information
- Work Hours: 40 hours per week with potential for some flexibility to meet project deadlines.
- Travel: Up to 25% depending on project requirements and business needs.
- The position offers the flexibility of remote work in compliance with organizational policies.
