About the Role

As an early member of Charlie Health’s Salesforce Team, you will play a big part in both the front and backend development of applications that directly support our operational teams.

We’re looking for a Salesforce Developer who enjoys partnering closely with the rest of the Product & Engineering teams to make durable contributions and technical decisions as we race toward product launches. You’ll thrive here if you find cross-team collaboration and holistic approaches to solutioning appealing.

Our team is comprised of passionate, forward-thinking professionals eager to take on the challenge of the mental health crisis and play a formative role in providing life-saving solutions. We are looking for a candidate who is inspired by our mission and excited by the opportunity to increase access to mental healthcare and impact millions of lives in a profound way.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, release, and maintain high quality, backend and frontend solutions within our rapidly growing Salesforce instance with a focus on iteration under an agile framework
  • Set strong integration patterns with our fellow engineers as we focus on long-term system development and maintaining scalability
  • Partner with teammates across the organization to understand our business. Leverage that understanding to drive solutions that increase velocity and reduce cognitive complexity for our operational users
  • Develop high quality front-end components that workaround declarative Salesforce limitations while providing admins with configurable settings to maintain and customize functionality
  • Be curious! There are times when Salesforce may not be the right solution to solve the problem. Our Salesforce developers are expected to understand Salesforce’s limitations and be willing to explore development off the platform to push for the best solution
  • Act as an owner. Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to continually maximize the value of our Salesforce instance and promote learning across different teams

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of professional experience developing with Apex, Javascript, and within the LWC framework while adhering to industry best practices and commonly adopted themes
  • Experience building out reusable Apex frameworks and leveraging them for optimized batching, testing, and API development
  • Familiarity with implementing and maintaining a test factory model to achieve full test coverage for the organization
  • Great at managing ambiguity. Has the ability to break down big, messy problems (demanding requirements, bugs, etc.) into smaller parts with tractable solutions and clear iterations
  • Meaningful scope within a wider engineering team. Experience making or contributing to important technical tradeoff decisions with cross team implications
  • Growth mindset and a sense of humor. You welcome feedback, and when you stumble, you get back up. You adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment and enjoy fostering an environment that prioritizes fun, learning, and growth #LI-Remote
  • Please note: Candidates located within 75 minutes' commuting distance of our NYC office are expected to come to office 1 day/week
