The Team:
On the heels of a Series C funding led by General Catalyst, Elevate K-12 is enjoying strong business momentum, with revenue growing at 100% y-o-y and plans to double again next year. To continue this momentum, we are investing in building a strong product and technology function to power the next generation of solutions for students, teachers, and schools/districts. The Elevate Software Engineering team is delivering cutting-edge educational software at an enterprise scale, ensuring seamless consumer-grade experiences that support our mission.

 

Job Summary:

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Salesforce Developer (SDE1) to support the development and customization of Salesforce solutions, with a focus on CRM and CPQ. The ideal candidate should have foundational knowledge of Apex, Visualforce, Lightning components, and Salesforce integrations. This role offers an excellent opportunity to grow and refine skills while contributing to key business solutions.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and customization of Salesforce solutions using Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning components.
  • Work on basic configurations, workflows, validation rules, and process automation within Salesforce.
  • Develop and execute unit tests to ensure code reliability and adherence to best practices.
  • Support integration efforts between Salesforce and external systems using REST/SOAP APIs.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and debugging Salesforce applications.
  • Work closely with senior developers and architects to understand business requirements and implement solutions.
  • Maintain proper documentation of configurations, code, and technical processes.
  • Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning and reviews.
  • Stay updated with the latest Salesforce releases, features, and best practices.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in Salesforce development.
  • Basic knowledge of Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and CPQ.
  • Understanding of Salesforce CRM principles and data modeling.
  • Experience with Salesforce declarative tools such as Process Builder, Flow, and Workflow Rules.
  • Familiarity with integration concepts using REST/SOAP APIs.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce security models, roles, and profiles.
  • Exposure to version control systems like Git.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Salesforce certifications such as Platform Developer I/II, Salesforce Administrator, or relevant advanced certifications.
  • Expertise in SFDC Development using Lightning Application, Apex Language, Visual Force pages, Classes, Controllers, Triggers, Indexes, Web Services, Components, Tabs, Apex Web services, Custom Objects, Reports, Analytic Snapshots and Dashboards, Profiles, Creating Roles, Page Layouts, Org-Wide Defaults, Sharing Rules, and Workflows.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with JavaScript and front-end development.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools like GitHub and Salesforce DX.
  • Exposure to .NET or Java is a plus.
