Position Summary

The Salesforce Data360 Lead Architect plays a critical role within the Salesforce Enablement & Operations (SEO) organization, providing architectural leadership for the enterprise adoption of Salesforce Data360 (formerly Data Cloud). This role serves as the design authority for Data360 implementations, ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, compliant, and aligned to Center of Excellence (CoE) standards and Enterprise Data Governance policies.

The Lead Architect partners with Salesforce delivery teams, Enterprise Architecture, Data Governance, Security, and Platform Operations to define architecture patterns, review designs, and guide teams from proof‑of‑value efforts into enterprise‑grade, reusable capabilities. This role balances hands‑on design leadership with strategic oversight, enabling trusted data foundations that power analytics, activation, and AI‑enabled use cases (including Agentforce).

Required Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience in Salesforce platform architecture, enterprise data architecture, or solution architecture roles
  • Demonstrated hands‑on leadership designing and delivering Salesforce Data360 (Data Cloud) solutions, including data ingestion, harmonization, identity resolution, and activation
  • Strong understanding of enterprise data and integration patterns, including APIs, event‑driven architectures, streaming data, and federated or near‑real‑time access models
  • Proven experience operating within and influencing a Center of Excellence (CoE) model, including defining patterns, reviewing designs, and enforcing architectural standards
  • Deep familiarity with enterprise data governance concepts, including data ownership, classification, consent, masking, access controls, and compliance requirements
  • Experience partnering with Security, Privacy, and Data Governance teams to operationalize policy‑driven data usage within Salesforce
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence delivery teams and stakeholders without direct authority
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience enabling AI‑driven, real‑time, or agent‑based capabilities using Salesforce Data360 as a foundational data layer (e.g., Agentforce, personalization, predictive insights)
  • Background in healthcare, insurance, or other regulated industries with complex data and compliance needs
  • Salesforce certifications such as Data Cloud Consultant, Integration Architecture Designer, or Platform Architect credentials
  • Experience defining reference architectures, technical standards, and reusable patterns adopted across multiple teams
  • Familiarity integrating Salesforce Data360 with enterprise data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, GCP)
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor architects and engineers and elevate architectural maturity across the Salesforce ecosystem
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field required
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience may be considered
