Udemy is a global company headquartered in San Francisco, with additional U.S. offices in Denver and Austin, and international hubs in Australia, India, Ireland, Mexico, and Türkiye. This is an in-office position, requiring three days a week in the office (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) and flexibility on Mondays and Fridays.

- Experience with SOQL and SOSL query optimization for large data volumes
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement custom APIs using Apex REST and SOAP services
- Version control expertise using Git, including branching strategies and merge conflict resolution
- Proficiency with developer tools including Developer Console, VS Code, and Salesforce CLI
- Understanding of security best practices including sharing architecture and permission sets

About this role
As Udemy scales its direct and partnership selling motions within the Enterprise space, we are seeking a highly skilled Salesforce Sales Cloud Developer to design and build solutions that drive greater pipeline and revenue generation. Supporting our B2B Sales and RevenueOperations teams, you will be instrumental in delivering complex, secure, and scalable solutions using both declarative tools and custom Apex/LWC development. You’ll collaborate closely with product managers, business analysts, and cross-functional business partners to bring strategic initiatives to life across the entire lead to cash lifecycle.
What you’ll be doing
- Collaborate with product managers and business analysts to design scalable solutions within Sales Cloud and related applications that address complex business requirements
- Develop custom functionality using Apex classes, triggers, test classes, LWR, SOQL, SOSL and Lightning Web Components following best practices in performance, security, and modular design.
- Design and implement advanced automation using Flows, Process Builder, and Apex with complex branching logic, transaction control, and error handling
- Build and maintain integrations between Salesforce and external systems using REST/SOAP APIs, platform events, and Workato
- Execute configuration tasks, data migrations, and transformations using both declarative tools and custom ETL processes
- Support testing phases (QA, SIT, and UAT) and manage deployments across environments using Gearset with Udemy defined CI/CD practices
- Create comprehensive technical documentation and participate in knowledge sharing to ensure solution sustainability
- Actively engage in agile development practices including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and daily standups to deliver high-quality solutions on schedule
What you’ll have
- 5+ years of experience developing and administering Salesforce Sales Cloud, with emphasis on supporting global SaaS companies
- Experience integrating or administering go-to-market tools like Marketo, Clari, Boostup, FullCast, Gainsight or D&B
- Required Salesforce certifications:
- Salesforce Administrator
- Platform App Builder
- Platform Developer I certifications
- Preferred Salesforce certifications:
- Platform Developer II
- Service Cloud Consultant
- Experience Cloud Consultant
- Javascript Developer 1
- Hands on experience implementing complex Sales Cloud solutions across the entire customer lifecycle for both direct and indirect sales motions
- Advanced skill in both declarative development (Flow, Process Builder, Validation Rules) and programmatic development (Apex, Aura, LWR, Lightning Web Components, API integrations)
- Experience working in an agile development environment with regular sprint cycles
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
