Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain custom SFRA cartridges and ISML templates within SFCC B2C
- Integrate REST/OCAPI/SCAPI endpoints to connect SFCC with frontend applications
- Develop responsive, accessible, compliant and performant frontend interfaces using TypeScript, React, Tailwind, SCSS, and Handlebars on top of SFCC storefronts.
- Configure and customize page designer components, and multi-site/multi-locale setups.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate designs into reusable, maintainable components
- Conduct code reviews, write unit/integration tests, and uphold engineering best practices
- Troubleshoot performance, security, and integration issues
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to frontend architectural decisions
- Stay current with SFCC and frontend technologies.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of professional frontend engineering experience, with at least 1 year experience integrating with Salesforce Commerce Cloud B2C
- Proficiency in SFRA and ISML templating
- Hands-on experience with cartridge structure, and Page Designer
- Solid frontend engineering experience with TypeScript and React, along with Tailwind, SCSS, and Handlebars
- Experience consuming and building REST APIs, including OCAPI and SCAPI, for headless and hybrid implementations
- Experience with Node for tooling, build processes, and server side rendering where applicable, along with Git and CI/CD pipelines
- Understanding of web metrics, security, and SEO best practices
- Strong problem solving skills and ability to work independently in an agile environment.
- Experience making accessible web experiences, with experience in WCAG AA compliance
- Experience writing tests using tools like Jest, Playwright, Vitest or Cypress, along with knowledge of what to test and what not to test
- Experience working with AI assisted tooling
Nice to Have
- Experience integrating frontend interfaces with a headless or hybrid CMS, ideally Magnolia, including patterns for combining commerce data with CMS managed content. Don't worry if you haven't worked with Magnolia specifically, general experience with headless CMS integration is a good starting point
- Experience with personalization/A-B testing tools integrated with SFCC
- Prior experience leading a small engineering team or owning architecture decisions.
- Experience contributing to frontend build and deployment tooling as part of CI/CD pipelines.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
