Responsibilities
- Develop, customize, and maintain e-commerce solutions on Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC).
- Build and enhance custom controllers to implement new business logic and functionality.
- Leverage and extend SFRA (Storefront Reference Architecture) and SiteGenesis architecture to meet business requirements while maintaining best practices.
- Collaborate on PWA development to create fast, responsive, and engaging e-commerce experiences.
- Develop and maintain hooks, jobs, and data feeds to support integrations and data synchronization with external systems.
- Integrate third-party systems, APIs, and payment gateways into Salesforce Commerce Cloud.
- Ensure high performance, scalability, and responsiveness of SFCC sites across devices.
- Debug and resolve issues with SFCC implementations, controllers, and integrations, while identifying root causes and determining where to begin investigating reported issues.
- Understand and design solutions that accommodate non-browser clients (e.g., mobile apps, third-party applications) consuming data from the SFCC platform.
- Evaluate business requirements and identify the right tools, technologies, and architectures for a solution, even if it involves non-traditional SFCC practices.
- Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Collaborate with front-end developers, designers, and stakeholders to ensure technical feasibility and alignment with business goals.
- Stay up-to-date on Salesforce Commerce Cloud features, capabilities, and updates, incorporating them into projects when applicable.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Salesforce Commerce Cloud Developer, with expertise in SFRA (Storefront Reference Architecture) and SiteGenesis architecture.
- Strong knowledge of controllers, hooks, jobs, and data feeds in Salesforce Commerce Cloud.
- Experience in Progressive Web Application (PWA) development for e-commerce platforms.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, Node.js, and ISML templates.
- Familiarity with integrating third-party services and APIs into SFCC.
- Strong understanding of e-commerce best practices, including performance optimization, security, and SEO.
- Experience working with content slots, promotions, catalog management, and order processing within SFCC.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and version control tools such as Git.
- Ability to debug and troubleshoot issues effectively, understanding where to start and identifying root causes of reported problems.
- Ability to evaluate and adopt non-traditional SFCC tools and architectures when needed to achieve the best business outcomes.
- Understanding of multi-client architecture where data may be consumed by mobile apps, IoT devices, and other clients beyond web browsers.
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team environment.
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with TypeScript in e-commerce or PWA development.
- Experience with Headless Commerce solutions using Salesforce Commerce Cloud.
- Familiarity with Next.js or other frameworks for server-side rendering in PWA projects.
- Knowledge of Salesforce B2C Commerce APIs, including OCAPI and SCAPI.
- Certification as a Salesforce B2C Commerce Developer.
- Exposure to front-end frameworks such as React.js, Vue.js, or Angular
