Salesforce Commerce Cloud Engineer / Developer - 6Months up to 2 years Contract role

Sutherland is looking for a talented and enthusiastic Junior & Senior Salesforce Commerce Cloud Engineer / Developer / Front-End Engineer (6Months up to 2 years Contract role) to join our team. In this role, you will help design, build, and maintain user-centric eCommerce experiences on the Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) platform using SFRA architecture. You will work closely with senior developers, designers, and business stakeholders as part of scrum teams to deliver responsive, front-ends that drive engagement and conversions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain front-end components for Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) using SFRA architecture.
• Implement responsive user interfaces leveraging HTML, CSS/Tailwind, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Build and enhance reusable components using React or other modern front-end libraries.
• Optimize front-end code for performance, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Collaborate with back-end teams and third-party vendors to integrate data and APIs.
• Assist with testing, debugging, and troubleshooting front-end issues.
• Maintain a focus on delivering a smooth user experience across different devices and browsers.

Key Competencies & Skills
 

• Salesforce Commerce Cloud — Familiarity with SFRA architecture and its components.
• Front-End Technologies — Proficient in HTML5, CSS3, Tailwind CSS, and responsive design principles.
• JavaScript/TypeScript — Strong understanding of modern JavaScript features; experience with TypeScript is a plus.
• React — Exposure to component-based architecture and state management in React.
• Version Control — Familiarity with Git and common collaborative workflows.
• Communication — Ability to work well in a team and clearly articulate technical concepts.
• Curiosity & Learning Mindset — Eager to grow and keep up with evolving front-end and eCommerce technologies.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of front-end development experience, ideally working on SFCC-based eCommerce projects.
• Hands-on experience with front-end frameworks and CSS utility libraries.
• Familiarity with eCommerce best practices and UI/UX principles is a plus.
