Job Description

Job Summary:

The Teledyne IT Shared Services team is looking for a proactive individual who can manage our overall CRM application suite. This primarily consists of daily, hands-on continuous improvement, enhancement and support of our disparate Salesforce orgs utilized across multiple business units. It further includes oversight of our Microsoft Dynamics CRM environment and the IT resources that support it.

The ideal candidate will have a deep technical and functional understanding of the Salesforce platform and an ability to execute small to medium projects on their own. They should also have an ability to liaise with power users and various stakeholders at the local business units to understand business objectives, identify areas of improvement, explain design options, and implement scalable best practice solutions.


Responsibilities:

This is a varied business facing role, with the following responsibilities:

  • Be the subject matter expert for Salesforce across all of Teledyne, supporting local administrators as needed, and guiding business units to the appropriate Salesforce solution based on requirements.
  • Salesforce configuration changes, including (but not limited to): Flow, assignment rules, validation rules, approval processes, fields, page layouts, record types, dynamic layouts, apps, actions, triggers, custom settings, mobile administration, dashboards and reports.
  • Partner with primary internal customers to identify and gather requirements, and translate them into effective Salesforce solutions with a focus on exceptional user experience.
  • Assist local Salesforce Admins at the Business Units with configurations such as setup of personalized dashboards, fields, alerts, and reports.
  • Formulate project plans, test case/use cases, production cutover plans and other items to successfully deliver major enhancements, new modules, or full implementations.
  • Communicating, prioritizing and managing all aspects of a Salesforce project.
  • Sandbox environment management.
  • Proactive system maintenance including Security Reviews, Release Updates, Health Check, and Optimizer.
  • Day-to-day support and maintenance of various Salesforce applications, including handling of user support tickets. Escalate to the vendor’s Technical Support as needed to address items in a timely manner.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Salesforce applications and integrations.
  • Develop a platform roadmap, including consideration of unused or underutilized features, to define priorities in coordination with stakeholders at each Business Unit.
  • Stay updated with Salesforce releases, new features, and best practices. Ensure the Business Unit administrators are aware of and planning for these changes, including assisting them with impact analysis. Recommend and implement enhancements to optimize system performance and user experience.
  • All aspects of user and license management including new user setup/deactivation, roles, profiles, permissions, security settings, public groups, OWD, and sharing rules.
  • Monitor and improve user adoption.
  • Facilitate meetings and knowledge sharing across the group of internal Business Unit Salesforce Administrators.
  • Assist with new user and ongoing user training. 
  • Oversee the Enterprise License Agreement with the vendor. Participate in review of license levels and help negotiating costs and services during the renewal period.

Experience

  • BS in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent experience is required.
  • Advanced Salesforce product knowledge with at least 3-5 years of Salesforce Administration hands-on experience with Lightning platform, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, CPQ, and Manufacturing Cloud.
  • Salesforce Administrator certification is desirable.
  • Proven ability to analyze, design and optimize processes utilizing the Salesforce platform, increasing user adoption and driving best practice.
  • Experience with third party integration tools such as Scribe or SSIS.
  • Experience with third party apps such as Conga Composer.
  • Working knowledge of, or direct experience with, Microsoft Dynamics CRM is a plus.
  • Experience working with Power BI is a plus.

Competencies

  • Proficiency with SQL and Apex programming, Visualforce, Salesforce APIs, Lightning Web Components, data loader, integrations and data migration.
  • Ability to automate complex business processes using Salesforce tools like Process Builder, Flow, and Workflow Rules
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, including ability to dig into problems at detail level and reconcile system anomalies/problems.
  • Ability to liaise with and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across IT and with other cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Ability to establish priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Salary Range:

$93,500.00-$125,950.000
