The Role

The Salesforce Administrator is responsible for the administration and continuous improvement of Salesforce by performing Level 1 & 2 support aligned to specific system areas and business critical processes running on the Salesforce platform and integrated systems. Acting as the liaison between various internal groups, this role manages the Salesforce environments (production and sandboxes), implementing and supporting Salesforce-based applications, troubleshooting, and working with end-users to ensure that the application meets the needs of the business and keeps pace with any changes in operational requirements, policies and/or procedures. This role offers a clear growth path within Salesforce administration gaining hands-on experience and personal development to transition into a more advanced administrator role with alternative growth paths such as development, quality assurance, and solutions development.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform administrator functions to maintain the system such as user profiles, roles, and permissions, storage and backup management, as well as cleanup and updates of unused fields, objects, and integrations
  • Monitor, record, and respond to requests from production users for minor enhancements and break fix support including the creation and maintenance of workflows, custom fields and objects, fields, record types, page layouts, reports, dashboard development, and data flow management
  • Create and manage automation processes with flows and Lightning components
  • Identify and appropriately escalate process or product quality gaps
  • Clean, validate, and import different data sets into Salesforce
  • Monitor designated logs and escalate to senior team members as appropriate
  • Stay updated on the latest Salesforce features and best practices, proactively seeking opportunities to expand your Salesforce skills and certifications
  • Coordinate testing and manage deployment of software updates following standard SDLC processes utilizing available CI/CD tools and methods
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and business process owners to gather and document business requirements and translate them into Salesforce solutions
  • Implement and support integrations, third-party tools, and security Monitor system performance and conduct routine maintenance tasks
  • Responsible for facilitating test cases, supporting user acceptance testing (UAT), and quality assurance (QA)
  • Create and maintain end user documentation on processes, policies, application configuration, user guides, job aides, and related materials
  • Be a role model and mentor to team members with less experience, providing guidance and support on technical and non-technical aspects of Salesforce Administration

What You’ll Bring

  • Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience in customizing and building components of a Salesforce to support business processes
  • Salesforce Sales Cloud experience and administrator certification(s)
  • Familiarity with Apex, Visualforce, SOQL, and Lightning components
  • Excellent verbal and written communication with strong interpersonal skills
  • Superior attention to detail and organizational skills prioritizing large volume of tasks
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently and efficiently under strict deadlines
  • Strong computer proficiency; adept at learning new software
  • Ability to conduct research into software issues functionality
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes quickly
  • Demonstrated ability to handle a variety of assignments in parallel
  • Data management tools (Data Loader, XL Connector)
  • Ability to work as part of a team with a positive “can-do” attitude
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak fluent English

  • Intermediate to advanced MS Excel
